We’re supporting Movember and helping shine a light on men’s health.

Join the Chelsea Community Champions at the Men’s Health Event on Monday 24th November, 3pm–6:30pm at Open Age, New Horizons (SW3 2PF).

• Free drop-in for a chat
• Meet GPs, healthcare staff & community services
• Info on local health and wellbeing support
• Tai Chi taster session at 4:30pm
• Refreshments in the Open Age Café

It’s a relaxed space to talk, ask questions and find support.

Award Winners!

Huge congratulations to our Community Champions Kensington & Chelsea team , .community.champions &

We’re beyond proud to share that we won two awards at the Kensington & Chelsea Staff Awards 2025, including the “Becoming the Best” award, judged by resident, and Project or Moment of the Year!

K&C Staff Awards are an annual celebration that recognise outstanding contributions from teams and individuals within the borough who go above and beyond to make a real difference in our communities.

To be recognised among so many incredible projects and organisations is truly an honour. These awards celebrate the hard work, heart and dedication of our Champions, who continue to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities across Kensington & Chelsea.

Thank you to RBKC, Public Health, our amazing Champions, and everyone who makes this project what it is.

Black History Month 2025 – Community Champions Unite!

Our amazing & .community.champions teamed up with the incredible Chelsea Theatre Champions to host a truly special Black History Month celebration!

We came together for an unforgettable day filled with music, dancing, laughter, culture, and connection — plus plenty of signposting, info, and support for our local community.

Nearly 200 people joined us to celebrate, learn, and share in the spirit of unity.

A huge thank you to everyone who came, contributed, and made this event shine — what a beautiful celebration of community and culture!

Great day at 's Make Every Contact Count (MECC) training with our brilliant & .community.champions

MECC is all about using everyday conversations to support healthier choices — whether it's about mental wellbeing, stopping smoking, or getting active. Small chats can lead to big changes!

The Community Champions are a vital part of this work. They’re out in the community, trusted faces offering support, signposting services, and creating real connections.

SMART is proud to deliver the Champions Project, empowering local people to make a difference where it matters most.

World Mental Health Day 2025

Yesterday, SMART was proud to host the Bi-Borough Community Meeting for Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster — bringing local organisations together to share ideas, answer questions, and look to the future of mental health in our boroughs.

Groups like the & .community.champions joined us to highlight how their work helps keep RBKC as healthy and connected as possible.

It was an amazing day, full of energy, collaboration, and meaningful conversations

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we continue to celebrate the power of community and the importance of accessible mental health support for all. 💙

Bi-Borough Community Meeting –
Thursday 9th October (TODAY) from 12:00 – 4:00 PM

This year’s theme: Access to Mental Health Services in Emergencies — shining a light on the urgent need for support in times of crisis.

What’s on:
• Wellbeing activities all afternoon
• Informative stalls showcasing local services
• Free healthy lunch at 12:30 PM
• Panel discussion + Q&A at 3:00 PM
• Prize draw for the most impactful question

This is a chance to connect, learn, and add your voice to the future of mental health support in our community. Open to all residents of Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster.

Happy Birthday SMART...

SMART has turned 40!

From our very first days on Gertrude Street to today, SMART has always been about people.

We’re celebrating 40 years of community, creativity and connection... a journey made possible by our incredible members, staff, volunteers, and friends who have been part of our story.

This throwback brings together familiar faces and new ones, all united by one purpose: supporting mental health through meaningful recovery.

We are so proud to see how SMART has developed and grown over the years...

Partnering with to deliver the Employment, Wellness at Work, and Multiple Navigator teams;

Making our community healthier through the & .community.champions

Providing top-notch organic veg through (and yes — we’ve just been nominated for a Chelsea Award for it!);

and most recently opening our new beautiful space at Devil’s D**e in Brighton — bringing nature and recovery together...

What a journey, what a ride. Despite the recent closure of our building, it’s onward and upward!!

Here’s to the past, present, and future of SMART — and to everyone who has helped shape our community. Thank you for being part of it ❤️

And don’t forget to join us at the Bi-Borough Meeting on Thursday 9th October, 12–4pm at St Mary Abbots Church. In aid of World Mental Health Day, this year’s theme is Crisis Support. Come along, have a chat, and let’s make change together.
