What a dynamic looking Pro-Ject turntable.
Design seems based on the traditional Rega approach but with an inbuilt electronic speed control. Just serviced it and it is running nicely now, just awaiting a replacement anti-skate thread & weight. Looking forward to hearing it!

The long nights are surely a time for appreciating music and winter solstice a time to prompt renewal. Having fitted a new cartridge it must surely be time to change the silicone damping fluid in my tonearm's trough! 😁

I'm shocked how good this wonderful wind up 78 playing gramophone from about 1928 sounds. I've just serviced it, dismantlling the motor, cleaning and relubricating it. Fortunately the Spring was not broken.

So happy to be able to repair these vintage AR18 speakers for a friend. Perhaps due to the benefits of their infinite baffle design they have a bit of a following. I'm currently testing them, they have a lovely midrange and good sense of rhythm. Should be good for another 10 years+ .
