🌟 Today we honour the Anniversary of Mahāsiddha Thangtong Gyalpo - a remarkable Tibetan Buddhist master whose life was a true expression of wisdom and compassion. Born in the 14th–15th century, he was a great yogi, engineer, teacher, and tireless benefactor of all beings. Among many contributions, he built numerous iron-chain suspension bridges across the Himalayas to ease travel and pilgrimage, founded monasteries and temples, and inspired the tradition of Tibetan opera as a means of uplifting communities.
🕉️ Thangtong Gyalpo is also renowned for his Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig) sadhana - a practice composed “for the benefit of beings as limitless as space” and widely recited throughout Tibetan Buddhist practitioners.
🙏 Join us this Sunday at 10:30 am for Chenrezik Puja, where we will recite this cherished sadhana composed by Mahāsiddha Thangtong Gyalpo - a powerful practice of compassion and loving-kindness for the welfare of all beings. 💛📿
