As the winter🥶sets in, our primary concern at MMR HOMECARE is to ensure that all our clients remain warm, comfortable, and healthy. Here’s how we are making sure of that:

Our care team encourages the use of layered clothing. This includes thermal undergarments, cozy sweaters, and fluffy socks.

We maintain the indoor temperature between 18°C to 21°C to ensure comfort without the risk of overheating. ( Some clients might like it higher or lower )

Providing the best care ever.
- personal care
- medication administration
- companionship
- special care for dementia and Autism

Raising Awareness, Empowering Change with MMR Homecare
On 14th November, we unite globally for World Diabetes Day – a time to raise awareness about diabetes, a condition that touches the lives of millions. At MMR Homecare, we are dedicated to supporting our community and clients with essential knowledge and resources for a healthier tomorrow.

Understanding Diabetes
Diabetes is a chronic health condition where the body either cannot produce enough insulin or struggles to use it effectively. This results in elevated blood glucose levels, which, if not managed, can lead to severe health issues. There are three main types:

Type 1 Diabetes – Often diagnosed in children and young adults, this autoimmune condition requires insulin management.
Type 2 Diabetes – The most common form, often linked to lifestyle and genetic factors.
Gestational Diabetes – Occurs during pregnancy and may increase the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes later in life.
The Importance of Awareness and Early Detection
Many people with diabetes remain undiagnosed, missing essential early opportunities for effective management. Early recognition of symptoms – like increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and blurred vision – can make a significant difference. Proactive management helps individuals maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Did You Know?
Around 537 million adults are currently living with diabetes worldwide.
1 in 2 people with diabetes are undiagnosed.
The theme for this year’s World Diabetes Day is Access to Diabetes Care – If Not Now, When?, underscoring the urgent need for better access to care and education globally.
