Merry Christmas from all of us at SuperCare!

Today is one of those days that feels a little bit magical.

the lights
the excitement
(and of course the presents šŸ˜‰)

It’s a day full of imagination, big feelings, and lasting memories

Christmas is such a special time in the homes
and we’re incredibly grateful to our team who help make that possible

They always go above and beyond
not just today...
but every day of the year.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year šŸ’š

3am alarms. 5.45am start...
Early rises don't stop us from doing our part for the community

This morning some of our amazing team volunteered at Whitechapel Mission

Helping run their breakfast service for people experiencing homelessness in London.

Whitechapel Mission provides breakfast, hot drinks and access to showers for up to 300 people every single day.

For many, this will be the only hot meal they receive...

We are so incredibly proud of those who joined today
It's an honour and a privilege to be able to give back to our community

A huge thank you to the team for giving up their time.

Doing something that feels so small to some like providing 1 warm meal, can mean a lot to others!

Christmas has officially landed in our London homes!

The young people and the adults have gone all-in on the festive magic this year

From getting the tree up ready to be full of presents
To turning the whole house into a cosy winter wonderland.

We’ve got decorations everywhere
twinkling lights
and even blow-up Santas holding the fort until the real one arrives on the big day.

It’s such a fun time of year in our homes,
with everyone getting involved in making things feel magical.

Huge well done to the teams for creating such warm, welcoming environments for the young people we support šŸ’š

If we want to provide the best care, we have to invest in the people who lead it

Earlier this week, our London leadership team took part in the latest company-wide Supervision Project Training
A three-part programme designed to strengthen leadership across SuperCare.

We are exploring supervision as a whole,
how to carry it out with purpose,
and how to bring the best out of people through meaningful, supportive conversations.

It’s a major investment in upskilling our managers and leadership teams
Ensuring they feel confident, equipped and empowered.

In this week’s workshop, everyone was split into groups and asked to break down aspects of supervision before presenting back to the room
sparking thoughtful discussion, fresh perspectives and shared learning.

At SuperCare, we pride ourselves on developing our adults at every level.

Training isn’t just for our coaches or new starters
Constant growth for everyone (including leadership teams) is how we ensure we’re providing the very best care possible.

November is Care Leavers Month
Started by Become, it is a chance to highlight and celebrate people who grew up in care.

As the month comes to an end, we are proud to spotlight one of our remarkable Team Leaders and Team Teach Trainers: Tyreek Marke

What a story he has!

Growing up in care himself,
Tyreek is a true success story.

He saw first-hand the parts of the system that weren’t working many years ago

And instead of letting that hold him back...
he turned it into purpose.

He made it his mission to provide the very best care for young people, the kind he didn’t always receive himself.

Since joining SuperCare, Tyreek has been nothing short of outstanding.

He gives his all, every single day, and he does it with pride.
He is strong, determined, and has overcome so much in his life
And now stands tall, openly sharing his journey.

This year’s theme for Care Leavers Month, ā€œRising as Me: Overcoming challenges, transforming, and finding your identity,ā€ couldn’t be more fitting.

Tyreek embodies it fully.

We are incredibly lucky and deeply proud to have him as part of the SuperCare family.

His story has touched every person here
and we know it will touch many more.

Thank you, Tyreek, for your amazing work and for your courage in sharing your story.

Success stories like yours are exactly why we do what we do.

Today, on Universal Children’s Day, we’re reminded of something at the heart of SuperCare...

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.

This day marks the UN’s commitment to children’s rights and wellbeing

But for those of us working in children’s care

It’s more than a date in the calendar...
It’s a moment to reflect on why our work matters.

Our team work every day to create environments that keep a child's wellbeing as the number 1 priority!

The young people we support often arrive with complex experiences...
and our job is to ensure they’re met with understanding, not judgement
Stability, not uncertainty.

Because a child’s wellbeing isn’t a task we complete .. It’s a promise we uphold.

Universal Children's Day is a reminder

But at SuperCare
It’s our everyday commitment.

Training never stops at SuperCare!

Over the past two weeks, some of our London teams have been taking part in an extensive training course.

Covering subjects needed across every part of the job.
From safeguarding to report writing.

We believe that keeping our adults trained and up to date is key to providing the highest standard of care possible.

We make sure our sessions are interactive and engaging

Like in these photos, where our teams split off to create social stories designed to help their young people navigate different situations.

They absolutely smashed it! šŸ™Œ

We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and passion our adults show every day, and we’re committed to keeping them at the top of their game.

The best kind of fireworks? The ones that spark imagination in young minds.

But this time, we decided to mix both!

Last week our young people learned all about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night.

Why we celebrate it and how to stay safe while enjoying the sparkle.

They explored colour mixing through creative firework pictures, learnt the Makaton signs for firework and loud, and designed thoughtful posters on firework safety.

For many of our SEN learners, the sights and sounds of fireworks can be overwhelming.

That’s why preparation matters.
It helps turn what could be a sensory challenge into a moment of wonder. 🌟

Because learning isn’t just about history
It’s about helping every young person feel safe, included, and ready to join in.

Training doesn’t have to be boring!
At SuperCare, it’s not just about PowerPoints and checklists.

We believe learning should be fun and interactive.

Recently, our Eastbourne team took on the Balloon Chair Challenge šŸŽˆ
Split into two teams, they had 20 minutes, 60 balloons, and a roll of tape to build a chair strong enough to hold our RIs, Emma and Charley.

Both teams worked brilliantly together!

But only one design could withstand the test…
with the other leaving Charley flat on the floor! šŸ˜…

This was a hilarious, hands-on way for the team to collaborate, problem-solve, and bond.

Teamwork is at the heart of what we do
after all, a home only runs smoothly when the team does too.

Happy Diwali from all of us at SuperCare! ✨

Today, we celebrate the Festival of Lights.
A time for joy, reflection, and togetherness.

At SuperCare, we take pride in embracing diversity across all our homes!

Encouraging our young people to explore not only their own cultures but those of others as well.

We believe that every individual, regardless of their background, should not only feel accepted but celebrated.

Diwali is a beautiful reminder of the light that comes from understanding, inclusion, and respect!

From our homes to yours, we wish a Diwali filled with happiness, hope, and new beginnings.

Meet Polo and Nala.. Tudor's Newest Residents 🐾

Polo has joined the home as a support animal for one of our young people.
While Nala is a pet for the whole home

They felt a therapy cat would help them keep on track and keep calm during incidences.

And this furry feline friend turned out to be the missing piece of the puzzle for them!

Since arriving, he has made the child feel so much more settled in and really made Tudor feel like home.

Things like that is what we love to hear.

These are the children's homes and we do everything in our power to make them feel that way.

Support animals can be a powerful tool, especially in a SEMH setting.

So we are happy to be welcoming Polo and Nala to the SuperCare family!
