Kate Beckinsale officially known as Kathrin Romary Beckinsale, is one of the UK’s leading lady’s and has starred in several Hollywood blockbuster movies. Kate Beckinsale decided at a young age she wanted to be an actress and made her first television appearance at the age of four. Kate’s Beckinsale’s father Richard Beckinsale was also successful actor throughout the 1960s and 1970s best known for his role in popular 1970’s British sitcom Porridge, sadly died at age 31yrs due unknown congenital heart defect when Kate Beckinsale was only 5 years old. Following her father’s footsteps with her passion for the arts and after some minor television roles, she made her film debut in Much Ado About Nothing at the tender age 19yrs.Kate Beckinsale has become known primarily for her work in action films, including her most popular role as Selene in the Underworld film series which gained Kate Beckinsale huge international following.
Kate Beckinsale moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 90’s and resides there to this day.
