Cookery class this afternoon with Irene assisting residents prepare, create and of course sample a delicious Mediterranean Tray Bake made with tomatoes, courgettes, feta cheese, Italian herbs and a crunch cheesy biscuit crumble topping. Very tasty.

We were delighted to welcome Elliot, Ella and Toby from Red Watch at Plumstead Fire Station today to give us a talk about fire safety and the life of a firefighter. The team informed us about how extremely rare fires in care homes are but how well prepared both we and they are.

Residents asked some great questions such as some of more unusual calls they have answered, what drew them to the profession and how it feels when they are in the thick of it. They even managed a personal visit for one resident who particularly likes firefighters 😃

Thank you again to our great guests who do such an amazing job.

Good morning and welcome to a brand new week. As well as all our usual activities, we are looking forward to welcoming London Fire Brigade this afternoon who are coming to meet residents and talk about their work. On Friday afternoon our lovely volunteer singer and keyboard player is joining us once again to lead a sing song so we hope you will join us. Have a great week.
