I worked with a beautiful family yesterday. Their six month old baby had breastfed every two hours day and night while her mother struggled through bleeding ni***es, postnatal depression and chronic sleep deprivation. As she talked about breastfeeding you could almost see her skin crawling. Her GP and Health Visitor had dismissed her tears because her baby was growing. She was desperate to get her reluctant baby to take a bottle.
I'm happy to report that the gorgeous baby now enjoys a bottle of formula with no problems. The mum is overjoyed and planning to "go into town on my own for a couple of hours." It will be the first time she's had a proper break in six months ๐๐งก๐.
Perhaps you've found the same?
