Body Alliance Tania Matos is a physiotherapist with a background in dance and theatre. She has found in Pilates the perfect link between the artistic and the therapeutic.

At Body Alliance we help you recover from injury with Physiotherapy and Complementary Therapies and we help you stay fit and healthy with Pilates Equipment Classes. Trained by the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), Tania teaches Modified Pilates which can help strengthen core muscles and improve posture and balance. These classes are suitable for those who would like to improve their body awareness and is gentle and beneficial for those with sports injuries, back and neck complaints.

Great stretch for the hip flexors on the reformer. Hours of sitting at a desk can cause a lot of tightness and pain. This is a great exercise to counteract that!

Footwork with Port de Bras:
Sometimes you just can’t replace the machine! Lovely calf stretch and eccentric strengthening with the Reformer. Port de Bras working through upper back rotation and stability around the shoulder blades.

#4 and #5 Knee stretches straight back - knees on and off. Home variation.
For anyone who would like to try knee stretches without equipment. Gentler option but still working on the stability muscles around shoulder blades and ribcage and core stability. Enjoy!
