Let’s gently bust a few postnatal physio myths 💬
✨ Myth 1: Pain, leaks or heaviness are “just part of motherhood”
👉 Truth: These are common, but they’re not something you have to live with. Physio can help.
✨ Myth 2: If you didn’t have stitches or a C-section, you don’t need postnatal physio
👉 Truth: Pregnancy alone places huge demands on your body — pelvic floor, core, hips and back all deserve care.
✨ Myth 3: You should be back to normal by 6 weeks
👉 Truth: Recovery isn’t a deadline. Every body heals differently, and that’s okay.
✨ Myth 4: You should avoid exercise until everything feels “perfect”
👉 Truth: The right movement at the right time actually supports recovery and confidence.
✨ Myth 5: Postnatal physio is only for elite athletes or serious problems
👉 Truth: It’s for real women, real bodies, and real life — lifting babies, walking, sleeping, returning to exercise.
💛 At W5 Physio, we support women to rebuild strength, trust their bodies again, and move forward at their own pace.
If you’re postnatal and unsure what’s normal - you’re not alone.
