Hello all
Lately I have been asked a lot about co-sleeping. In my opinion the answer is not Yes or No. Some families find sleeping together is the best, while for others it’s really not suitable. Here’s a nice article I found about the subject. One thing is certain, sleeping with your newborn in the same room will decrease the risk of sudden infant death. Hope this helps. Hila.

This is a really important enterprise.
In my work as a paediatrician I’m always amazed to see the miracles breast milk can do to premature babies.
If u have milk to spare, please do.

Over the years I have counselled young families through the challenge of early childhood nutrition. From my clinical encounters and personal experience, breastfeeding is neither instinctive nor intuitive to most new mothers.

We all need help and encouragement.

If given the right support and guidance, breastfeeding can become a positive experience for the whole family, not just for mother and child. Recent research has shown that there are both immediate and long term benefits for your baby which can make a significant contribution to his or her future health.

So everybody wins.

When to seek help?

The best time to begin is now.

It is preferable to have your first session before the birth. This is especailly important in cases of prematurity, twins or any other anticipated difficulty.

Breastfeeding should not be painful. Pain while breastfeeding may indicate a problem and require assistance.

When a child is not gaining weight properly.

When you want to restart breastfeeding.

When you may be separated from your baby.

When you find it problematic to wean.

Whenever breastfeeding becomes anything
but a joyful, binding experience.
