Natto. Every time I go to Japan, I try this. It’s often found at the breakfast spread. And every year I have hated it 🤮 Until this year. Now it’s only mildly nauseating. Something is changing 🤔 Natto is a fermented soybean food that was introduced thousands of years ago in North Japan. They have amazing health benefits including bone health, gut health & heart health.

Weaving & yarn shops hold little treasures for acupuncturists. Found a lovely little one in Bergen where I picked up a few needle holders for my guidelines. The other tool, I think, is a spindle a fabulous acupressure tool.

I’ve been in Copenhagen learning a new acupuncture system which has shown to be very effective in treating/improving degenerative eye diseases, specifically AMD (age related macular degeneration), but also retinitis pigmentosa, dry eyes, diabetic retinopathy etc. Whilst not based specifically on traditional East Asian medicine theory, I enjoy seeing how Microsystems fit within the overall theory of traditional medicine. One point in particular with the two Microsystems I use for eyes, they require deep needling, which we use when treating deep, kidney yin deficiency related issues and blood stagnation. Very excited to get back in my clinic and start integrating what I have learnt.
