🎥🌟 We’re Speaking Up for High-Quality Kids’ Content! 🌟🎥
This week, we’ve taken a big step in advocating for independent creators like us who are passionate about producing high-quality, educational content for little ones aged 0-3 years. 💛👶
We’ve written to Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media, and Sport and Alison Lomax, Managing Director of Google UK, to highlight the financial challenges faced by Made for Kids creators on YouTube.
Despite pouring our hearts into Ready Steady Go!, YouTube’s current algorithmic support and monetisation model makes it almost impossible for creators like us to get close to breaking even. Low-quality, click-bait channels that are terrible for our little one's development are frustratingly dominating platforms like YouTube.
Here’s what we’re asking for:
➡️ Fairer revenue policies that reflect the cost of producing high-quality educational content
➡️ More algorithmic visibility for creators offering enriching, evidence-based videos for children.
➡️ Support for sustainable content creation that truly benefits families.
We’re also issuing a press release to spread the word and shine a light on how vital these changes are—not just for creators but for the families and children who rely on safe, educational content.
This is more than just about us; it’s about making platforms like YouTube better for everyone💡 If you care about creating a world where quality kids’ content thrives, join us in raising awareness!
