This Sunday we had St Stephen's Ealing come and perform a beautiful candle mass for all the residents in our big activity room.

We had live piano and songs of praise followed by homemade cupcakes presented to everyone from St Stephen’s volunteers with tea, coffee, and lots of chat.

💕 A Special Valentine’s Day at St David’s Care Home – “The Heart Collage” Workshop 💕

This week, our residents and their lovely family members came together for a joyful Valentine’s Special Arts & Crafts Workshop called “The Heart Collage” ❤️

Everyone got creative with bright red hearts, delicate red tissue paper, sparkling glittery sheets and lots of love! Each person crafted their own unique heart collage – every single one telling its own little story.

The best part? They gave their artworks the most beautiful, personal names:

✨ Pradip – “Scattered Heart”

✨ Gillian – “Two Hearts Star”

✨ Rosalie – “A Heart for Martyn”

✨ Philomena – “Scattered Love”

✨ Sheila – “Messy Hearts”

✨ Gerry – “Big Heart”

✨ Agata – “Divine Love”

Seeing the smiles, the concentration, the laughter and the pride as they shared their finished pieces was truly heart-warming. These collages are so much more than paper and glue – they’re full of memories, affection and connection. 💌 🌹

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to the families who made time to be here, and to our wonderful team who helped make the magic happen.

Wishing all our residents, families and friends a Valentine’s Day filled with love, just like the kind we felt in the room today. 💖

🎉🎂 January Birthday Celebrations at Our Care Home! 🎂🎉

January was a very special month as we celebrated some truly wonderful birthdays. 💐✨

We were delighted to mark Mary’s 99th birthday, Louis’s 83rd birthday, and Rosalie’s 90th birthday. What incredible milestones! 🥳

Each celebration was filled with smiles, cake, laughter, and lots of love, making these days extra special for our residents. 💙🎈

🅰️One of our absolute favourite activities here at St David’s Care Home is the Alphabet Quiz Game! 🎉🧠

We gather round in a circle, pick a category like countries, flowers, animals, objects, plants, or even famous people, and then take turns coming up with words starting with each letter of the alphabet. From “A for Australia” to “Z for Zinnia” (yes, we got creative with that one!), the laughter and friendly competition never stop.

It’s wonderful to see everyone so engaged. Some residents surprise us with the most obscure words, others cheer on their neighbours, and the room just fills with smiles and memories. Moments like these really brighten our days and bring everyone closer together. ❤️

Who knew the alphabet could be so much fun? 😄

✨ Winter Wonderland Crafts at St David’s Care Home! ✨

This afternoon, our wonderful residents dove into a winter arts and crafts workshop, creating their own snowy masterpieces! ❄️
Using paint rollers to spread vibrant colors on paper, we added glue, sprinkled salt for that frosty texture, glitter sequins for sparkle, and stuck on delicate snowflakes to bring it all to life.

The creativity and smiles were endless! Here are a few of the beautiful titles our residents gave their artwork:

🎨 Sheila named hers: The Snowflake Magic

🎨 Rosalie titled her dreamy creation: Sleeping in the Snowflakes

Our favourite Elvis brought the ultimate festive spirit to St David's Care Home on New Year’s Eve, dazzling everyone with classic hits and heartfelt New Year wishes for our wonderful staff and residents.

We grooved along together grabbing instruments, dancing, and singing — as laughter and joy filled the room.
