🌸✨ A Truly Heartfelt 5th Anniversary Celebration at Elsyng House ✨🌸

The team at Elsyng House recently celebrated their 5th Anniversary with a very special visit from the Mayor of Enfield, Margaret Greer.

The Mayor shared a touching speech recognising the dedication of the team and the strong community spirit within the home. One unforgettable moment followed when she sang “Lean on Me” — as residents, families and staff joined in, filling the room with emotion and unity. It was a beautiful reminder of everything Elsyng House stands for: support, friendship and always being there for one another. 💛

As part of the celebrations, two valued team members, Geraldine and Angela, were proudly presented with their 5-Year Long Service Awards — a testament to their compassion, commitment and care. Moments like these truly reflect the family spirit at Elsyng House.

Everyone at Oakland Care is incredibly proud of the journey Elsyng House has shared with its residents and families over the past five years.

Designed for individuals seeking additional support with wellbeing, mobility, and rehabilitation, The Rehab Retreat offers personalised programmes for those recovering from surgery, transitioning from hospital, regaining strength, or improving physical function.

Open to both residents and non‑residents, it provides daily , expert clinical guidance, and a seamless handover from hospital discharge or NHS referrals.

With a dedicated, purpose‑built physiotherapy suite and round‑the‑clock professional care, individuals benefit from improved confidence, enhanced mobility, reduced risk of readmission, and peace of mind for families.

Progress is underway at , our forthcoming care home in , opening in Summer 2026.

The exterior is beginning to take shape as the cladding progresses, giving the building a more defined, finished look. Inside, there’s plenty of activity too; carpentry is developing across the home, and plastering is underway in several areas, helping the internal spaces move steadily toward the next stage. Along with the mechanical and electrical works, the plant room is progressing well to support the home's utilities.

As the build progresses, the focus is on creating a modern, thoughtfully designed home that supports our residents with exceptional care, comfort, and well-being.

🌿💚 Green Champions in Action at Hastings Court Care Home! 💚🌿

Hastings Court Care Home proudly celebrated its Green Champions, Emma and Taylor, who recently took part in a fantastic local tree planting project alongside Sussex and Surrey Groundworks South.

All of the trees were locally sourced and carefully planted to create a ‘mini forest’ — also known as a micro wood. 🌳 These inspiring projects are being rolled out across multiple areas around Sussex to help boost biodiversity, support wildlife, and create greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Hastings Court Care Home is delighted to see its team actively involved in initiatives that protect the environment and support the local community — because every tree planted is a step towards a greener future. 🌱

We’re delighted to celebrate Jean, our resident at Care Home, who has just launched her debut children’s book, The Rainbow’s End, at 95 years old!

Written over 30 years ago for her granddaughter, the story was recently brought to life with the help of her family and modern AI‑generated illustrations before being published on Amazon.

The amazing lifestyles team helped Jean mark the milestone with a book‑signing event at a teddy bears’ picnic attended by young guests and the local community. It was a special moment that shows it’s never too late to fulfil a dream. ⭐
