Corrective surgery is becoming increasingly common. Many of the patients we now consult have previously undergone fat-reduction treatments—either surgical or non-surgical.
Irregularities can occur with both approaches.
In some cases, patients explore non-surgical options such as fat-dissolving injections or fat freezing before considering surgery.
A well-known complication of fat freezing is PAH (Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia).
While liposuction can significantly enhance the results of a previous procedure, removing old scar tissue may still lead to some irregularities. Other risks include discolouration, increased bleeding and bruising, skin laxity, and prolonged healing.
Beyond the body’s natural healing response, several factors influence the final aesthetic outcome—such as the provider’s skill, quality of equipment, and use of appropriate garments and inserts.
