Skin conditions affect more than just the skin.

In the UK, 35% of people with a skin condition report that it affects their mental health, and over half feel judged by others because of it.

So when we learned that, for one of our clients, skin health was the top reason colleagues were accessing their workplace GP service, we recognised this wasn't just a medical issue, it was a wellbeing priority.

At Kamwell, we use data to understand what truly matters to employees and design meaningful, inclusive wellbeing support in response.

For this client, we combined medical expertise with human storytelling:

➡️ A GP provided insights on common conditions like eczema, acne, rosacea, and psoriasis, along with practical skin care tips.

➡️ A mindfulness practitioner shared their personal journey with eczema and offered techniques to support the emotional impact of living with skin conditions.

By blending expert-led education with lived experience, the series created powerful shifts in awareness - busting myths, building empathy, and encouraging colleagues to share their own stories.

This is what whole-person wellbeing looks like: rooted in data, delivered with compassion.
