BLOOD MOON JULY 2018 - LET GO OR BE LET GO
You might have been feeling that something big is about to happen for some time.
That things are about to boil over.
For the world, the planet as a whole, and in your personal life.
Tonight’s Blood Moon will propel us all further into the change that’s needed.
This cosmic event has important implications for the future, and you can choose to be an active participant in its transformative energies or a passive recipient of its effects.
Full moons are part of the cyclical energetic expansion and contraction that governs all life on Earth.
Over the past two weeks, the stillness of the New Moon has grown into the roaring energies of the Full Moon.
The Full Moon provides an opportunity for completion and expression, but also brings your shadow to the surface.
Things that have been swept under the carpet can’t be ignored any longer, and often come to a head.
The Full Moon takes place in Aquarius, with an energetic presence that can be experienced as unsettling.
Aquarius can also help us to turn things upside down when needed, with a progressive and revolutionary energetic signature.
This time, however, the Full Moon is also accompanied by a lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon.
This phenomenon amplifies these energies many times over.
During a lunar eclipse the earth casts its shadow on the full moon so that the sun’s light is no longer reflected back to us.
The red colour this shadow casts is what gives the Blood Moon its name.
Because of the sun’s immensity compared to the Earth and Moon, some sunlight still reaches the Moon even during an eclipse.
As this light passes through the Earth’s atmosphere, it is bent, or refracted, turning some of it towards the Moon even though the Earth is in the way.
Most of the light spectrum is filtered out by the atmosphere, but some red light manages to pass through the Earth’s atmosphere.
This is what causes the unearthly red glow during a lunar eclipse, and explains why it has historically been given the name of Blood Moon.
These Blood Moons also happen with some regularity.
What’s unusual about today’s event is that it’s also the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century.
This extends the already amplified energies coming towards us.
If you’re unaware of these energetic changes, you will simply become their plaything.
You might act rashly, lash out or unwittingly contribute to destructive forces.
If you can stand firmly rooted during this kind of energetic flux, you have a better chance of *doing* rather than being done unto.
Such doing often simply takes the form of *not reacting*.
Furthermore, today’s lunar eclipse takes place on the same day as Mars reaches its opposition to the sun in the night sky, meaning that it will be at its very brightest during the eclipse.
Mars is the god of War, and as the ancients knew, its energies can spill over into aggression when unchecked.
I invite you to use the energetic signature of Mars to set and maintain firm boundaries.
This lunar eclipse is nearly two hours long, giving us unusually ample opportunity to partake in its powerful emanations.
In the UK, the total eclipse will last between 8.30 pm and 10.13 pm.
Remain calm and steady during the eclipse, avoid adding fuel to the fire of the turbo-charged energies already existing, and you will stand well prepared to let go of that which will come to a head.
Remember that this astronomical and astrological event supports the global awakening that is in process, and adds intensity to the fire of those who align themselves with it.
