Josh Portnoi Coaching Welcome to Josh Portnoi Coaching. I'm a certified Personal Trainer and Sports massage Therapist here I offer Sports Massage either at the Studio or at your home.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients from beginners to more advanced athletes and I know what it takes to get the results you desire. I was previously based in Central London working as a Master Trainer for Virgin Active. I’ve since decided to build my own business a little closer to home in North West London. Online Coaching - Choose between either Video Sessions with me or Online Coaching guidance which includes a programme to follow, weekly check ins with me and daily support and motivation. Face to Face Training - Meet in with me in Person for training sessions either at my Studio base or in the comfort of your own home. All coaching options include Exercise Programming and Nutritional Guidance. Sports Massage - Struggling with aches and pains or need to recover from the hard work you’re putting in, in the gym? Mental Health - I pride myself on my attitude towards mental health and wellbeing. Firstly, Remember this is a holiday and you should be able to relax and enjoy yourself.

At the same time though if you’re on a journey to improving your health, why spoil it all and set yourself back because of a 2 week holiday.

Try this;

Make sure you’re eating plenty of protein and healthy fats with each meal. This will slow digestion and help you to feel fuller, making you less likely to crave and snack.

Keep active each day. You don’t need to hit gym sessions but getting a walk in and go for a swim can really help keep your metabolism working faster despite lazing around by the pool every day.

Slow down with the alcohol. Have a drink and take some time before jumping on to the next one. You might surprise yourself to know that you don’t actually need to drink bottles worth to feel good and enjoy yourself!

Be present, enjoy the quality time with your loved ones and spend less time on your phone.

Some days you won’t want to show up and every rep of every set from the first will feel like you’re climbing a mountain.

Just know that conditions won’t always be perfect for you and motivation won’t always be high but showing up and being consistent is one of the most important things you can do if you want to see results, change your body and your mind.

Be accountable to yourself.
Value yourself.
You owe it to yourself.

Hi 👋🏻

Thought I’d remind you a little bit about me and what I do, especially to any new followers.

I’m Josh, I’m 38, a husband and father of two. I’ve been working as a PT and coach for the last 6 years and work with clients both In person and Online.

I used to work a desk job but decided to give it all up to follow my dreams and work a job I was truly passionate about.

I specialise in Strength & Conditioning, Mindset and Behavioural Change, helping busy parents create healthier habits to improve their health both physically and mentally.

Growing up I was always obsessed with sport. I played football and was a bit of a sprinter. As I got a bit older I became obsessed with the gym and getting stronger.

I believe that getting stronger and improving your body carries over to all areas of your life and helps you to be more resilient and successful in what ever you take on.

I also love eating! I won’t call myself a foodie cos that just sounds w***y but I love helping people to improve their diets, eat the foods that they enjoy, whilst still eating a healthy diet which will fuel them and help them reach their goals.

I work with my clients in person (spaces are limited) and Online, coaching them through the process to get stronger, fitter and healthier.

Ultimately I believe fitness is a journey and not a quick fix, it should always be fun and there’s no greater motivator than seeing results and feeling great.

This one sums up the last few months.

Been so tough and intense but such special times that I appreciate as they’re so fleeting.

Having two kids 13 months apart was always going to be tough but could never have prepared myself for how challenging it’s been.

Decided to take a break from social media a few months ago to be able to focus on my family and my current client base. Being able to prioritise where I focus my energy has been key to helping me get through this period and it’s all why I’ve decided to focus my PT business on helping busy parents and Dads in particular to get themselves fit, strong and healthy.

As a busy parent looking after yourself may not always seem like it should be a priority or like you can’t be arsed as you always feel so exhausted…BUT there are so many reasons to do so…here are just some;

~ Setting an example to your kids.
~ Helping you to feel better both physically and mentally.
~ Helping you to function better and be more productive.
~ Helping you to live a healthier life, prevent illness and be around for your kids and family long term!

Never forget who you are, where you came from and how far you’ve come.

Having set backs with injuries not only motivates me more but also makes me appreciate how amazing it feels to use my body in the way that I do.

Our bodies are a gift, treasure them, be kind to them and enjoy them.
