As we round off Care Leavers Month, we want to shine a spotlight on the incredible resilience and strength of care leavers and all those currently navigating the care system.

To every young person who’s faced challenges, uncertainties, and triumphs within the system, we see you, we hear you, and we’re thinking of you. Your worth, your voice, and your future matter.

Let’s celebrate the progress, the achievements, and the everyday wins of those who’ve shown courage in the face of adversity.

To the carers, support workers, and advocates working tirelessly behind the scenes - thank you for making a difference, one young person at a time.

Let’s keep pushing forward, advocating for a world where every child in care feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Yesterday, we spent the early afternoon strolling around the market, picking up some belly pork for tea and a few cheeky sweet treats 🍬.
Then we had a lovely curry at Spoons, followed by pool & darts to burn off those extra poppadoms 🔥… 😅

Halloween’s haunting has passed,
But memories of spooky fun will last,
We decked the living room with cobwebs bright,
And pumpkins grinned in delight.

The young people laughed, in spooky play,
Staff joined in, for a fun-filled day,
Black cats mewed, spiders spun fun,
In a web of smiles, for everyone.

We carved the pumpkins, told tales with glee,
Laughed together, had sweets for all to see,
In our cozy lounge, we had a blast,
Spooky decorations, fun that will last.

Wishing you all a happy memory too,
Of Halloween fun, for us and you!

“A Tail Wagging Treat at Apsleycare!

Our young person’s dream of having a house dog came true, even if just for a visit!

The manager’s pup brought so much joy, and our youngster stepped into the role of caregiver with such pride.

From a paw-some walk to taste-testing biscuits , every moment was a delight! 🐾
It’s amazing how a furry friend can lift everyone’s spirits.

We’re so grateful for these special moments of connection and happiness.

HAPPY DIWALI 🪔✨!

Today, at Apsley Care, we celebrated the Festival of Lights with a burst of joy and flavour!

Our young people cooked up a storm with our staff, whipping up delicious foods that brought big smiles to everyone’s faces.

We dived into the stories behind Diwali, shared laughter, and filled the air with warmth and light – just like the diyas that sparkle in every home today.
It was a day of connection, traditions, and making memories that will light up our hearts for a long time.

“Pumpkin picking extravaganza 🍁🎃!

Our Apsley Care crew traded in our wellness walk for a gourd-geous adventure ! Both on-shift and off-duty staff joined in, bringing our young person along for a day of laughter and patch-perfect pumpkins 🤩!

We picked the most hilarious, wonky, and utterly charming pumpkins we could find 😂 - and capped off the day with milkshakes and burgers

Who knew picking pumpkins could bring so much joy?!
We’re so grateful for these moments of fun and connection.

“Today, at Apsley Care, we celebrated World Mental Health Day in style! 🌟

Everyone rocked their yellow gear to show support. We created a focus board, shared super helpful worksheets and leaflets, and had some really impactful keyworking sessions with the children.

Big shoutout to everyone for making mental health a priority and spreading awareness!

An invaluable experience for our entire team - from support workers to management - boosting our skills to deliver exceptional care and support.
