Equilibrium

A little bit of background history:

Georgia has been practicing Massage Therapy since she graduated from AIAS (Australian Institute of Applied Sciences) in Melbourne, Australia in 2017. When suffering from Glandular Fever back in 2016, which then developed into a chronic illness CFS/ME, Georgia was receiving regular massage and acupuncture treatments to aid her recovery which then inspired her towards her journey in Remedial Massage. After seeing firsthand how massage could positively influence and effect her body, she decided that she wanted to develop the skill to help and heal in the same way that others had helped her. From there, she embraced the unknown, left her previous job of 3 years as a Personal Assistant and then took the first step into her new career as a Massage Therapist. Georgia speaks of her role as a Massage Therapist and says: “My work is no longer focused on getting through mundane 9-5pm days and longing for the weekend. Now each day is different and exciting and my true passion lies in being able to help, educate and support my clients to commit to their own wellness journey.”

Our Treatments include:

Sports Massage:

A highly effective massage that targets pain and physical problems resulting from exercise. This treatment is designed to correct imbalances in soft tissue and muscle. It also provides relief for a range of injuries including: strains, sprains, tears and inflammation, as well as conditions including tennis elbow, shin splints & frozen shoulder. Deep Tissue Massage:

Free yourself from pain, tension or restricted movement with a Deep Tissue Massage. Focusing on the realignment of deeper muscle fibres, this massage uses slow, firm strokes and pressure to promote circulation, increase mobility and reduce the tension or pain, leaving the body feeling revived and re-energised. Pregnancy Massage:

This soothing massage encourages total relaxation and helps to alleviate the natural symptoms of pregnancy including: backache, muscle fatigue and swelling. The gentle, noninvasive approach of this treatment offers both emotional and nurturing support and is designed to help new Mums be prepared for labour. Postnatal Massage:

A nurturing post-pregnancy treatment designed to support mind & body and adjust to both the emotional and physical demands of caring for baby. This treatment focuses on promoting relaxation by releasing areas of tension which have developed as a result of carrying, feeding and holding baby, as well as easing general aches and pains, stretching out tight or sore muscles, and helping to realign posture. Swedish/Relaxation Massage:

De-stress and unwind during this treatment which uses long, smooth strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. This treatment is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension and will transport both your mind and body to a place of complete calm. Location:
We are located at Gosh Gosh, 224-226 York Road, SW11 3SD on Tuesdays from 14:45pm-20:00 & Thursdays from 08:30-13:30 and Monday, Wednesday & Fridays from 10am for Female Only Clients. Price list for all treatments:

🙌🏼🙌🏼 Wellness Wednesdays & Corporate Massage 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Today Equilibrium had the absolute pleasure of providing massage treatments for a long-term client & his colleagues to celebrate a huge business milestone.

The treatments provided the team some much needed time to decompress, fully switch off mentally away from emails & phone calls and was an opportunity to release that built up tension which is so often exacerbated by the long hours spent at a desk in front of a computer. It’s safe to say, it was a wonderful and different way to start a Wednesday morning for each member of the team!

Corporate massage has quickly become increasingly popular, particularly after the events of the past few years which have highlighted the importance of self-care and our individual responsibility for making that a top priority. Along side this, the physical effects that office work has on the body, impacting our posture and so often causing tension and discomfort especially in our neck, back & shoulders. Massage is a wonderful way to provide support to staff, offering them time away from their desk to reset, relax & de-stress mentally and physically as well as helping to promote a balanced & healthy work environment.

I personally believe there has never been a better time to consider additional benefits to offer as an employer to valued staff.

If corporate massage sounds of interest to any of you, to celebrate a business milestone, goal or is a wellness benefit you would like to offer your employees, please do get in touch by either emailing info@equilibriummw.com, calling 07858587142 or sending me a DM!

💙🩵✨⭐️CLIENT FEEDBACK ⭐️✨💙🩵

It is always so rewarding to receive such wonderful and detailed feedback especially as massage is such a personal treatment. Although we can’t always rely on getting positive reviews, any feedback I believe, is incredibly valuable and a necessity in order to ensure clients are receiving the highest quality treatments.

We always welcome honest feedback on our treatments and although that might feel a bit uncomfortable for clients, it really does help us help you in the long run. Open communication in the industry is key 🤍

🤍 MEET YOUR THERAPIST 🤍

For those of you new to Equilibrium, WELCOME! For the rest of you who I already know Happy Tuesday!!! 👋🏼

Here is a little insight into my background and how I came to create Equilibrium.

When suffering from Glandular Fever back in 2016, which then developed into a chronic illness CFS/ME, I was receiving regular massage and acupuncture treatments to aid my recovery. This then inspired me towards my journey in Remedial Massage and I found my passion in the treatment and rehabilitation process.

After seeing firsthand how massage could positively influence and affect the body, I decided that I wanted to develop the skills to help and heal in the same way that others had helped to heal me. From there, I embraced the unknown, left my previous job of 3 years as a Personal Assistant and then took the first step into my new career as a Remedial Massage Therapist which I have been doing for almost (8 🤯) years!

I pride myself on offering mindful and effective holistic treatments using a wide range of sports, deep tissue and relaxation techniques and tailor each individual massage experience to not just meet but exceed the needs and expectations of my clients.

I have created my own sanctuary of massage therapy, Equilibrium, where wellness is the number one priority. At Equilibrium, treatments are designed to ease muscular pain, relieve tension, aid recovery and promote relaxation. We specialise in sports, deep tissue, pregnancy/postnatal & traditional Swedish massage treatments. We are also soon to offer Reflexology treatments to our list of services which I am super excited about!

I believe that a massage is not just a one hour treatment but a long-term commitment to both our health and our self-care. My aim is to educate and inform my clients with ongoing support and to positively encourage them to prioritise their bodies and general well-being.

If you are interested in our services, you can contact me directly or via our website - link in bio 🙏🏼
