One week after an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, you can have minimal bruising and only slight swelling, and it continues to settle beautifully over time. 👁️✨

But recovery is not one-size-fits-all.

Some patients bruise more easily, some swell more, and that’s completely normal. This is why I always emphasise:
✅ Have realistic expectations
✅ Be patient with the healing process
✅ Follow your aftercare instructions properly
✅ And please… don’t go rogue

Healing is just as individual as the surgery itself.

Why do some men end up looking puffy after cheek filler?

Why does one treatment never work for every heavy jowls? The key is understanding what’s causing them:

1️⃣ Muscle-driven jowls
Overactive depressor muscles pull the jawline downward.

Before and 3 months after an upper eyelid blepharoplasty 👁️✨

This patient came to see me feeling that their eyes always looked tired and heavy, even when they were well rested. The excess upper eyelid skin was weighing down the lid and masking the natural contour of the eye.

At three months post-surgery, the result is a lighter, more open eye area while still looking completely natural. The goal of blepharoplasty is never to change how someone looks, it’s to restore clarity, balance, and a refreshed appearance.

Eyelid surgery is measured in millimetres, but the impact on how patients see and feel can be significant.
