Did you know that Beeja Meditation is the most effective jet lag cure known to man?
If you follow the instructions below, you can reduce your jet lag by at least 80%! Here’s how:
1) Make sure you’ve done your normal compliment of meditations before flying - if its a morning flight, then your regular morning med. If late afternoon or evening, then get your second one in before arriving at the airport.
2) When the aircraft is at the beginning of the runway and the jets start revving up, then begin your meditation for 20 mins. This should see you through to cruising altitude and help your brain and nervous system avoid the altitude shock of takeoff. (If you know pranayama, then begin that when you start taxi-ing towards the runway)
3) If long haul, meditate every 2.5 hours. Drink lots of water in-between sessions. (you could also give yourself a quick massage to move all your lymph)
4) When you’re coming in to land and the captain says ‘cabin crew 20 minutes’, then close your eyes and get going. Keep doing your mantra until 2 mins after landing, and then keep your eyes closed until the seatbelt sign switches off. You feel SO much better than all the other poor buggers who by this point are inflamed, dehydrated, full of microwave radiation and suffering from a double hit of altitude shock!
5) Do an additional meditation in the car/train from airport to home/hotel, or once you’ve had a shower and settled in. This will help your body adjust its body clock.
