Circle of trees CIRCLE OF TREES: Environmental Arts Therapy Group Based at London Art Therapy Centre. This fortnightly group runs through out the year.

The Circle of Trees is a nourishing, experiential group for adults; practitioners and trainees in the arts, psychotherapy, education, health and social care who wish to deepen their relationship with nature, personally and professionally. Running fortnightly, these 2 hr sessions will introduce you to the developing theories and practices emerging from ecology, ecopsychology and environmental arts therapy.

Environmental arts therapy is an arts-based approach to working therapeutically in outdoor spaces and emerges from the creative exchange that has occurred between the ecopsychology movement and the arts therapies professions and communities.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a platform to share the methods, approaches, theory base and research in this area of innovative integrative arts therapy practice. The day will allow us to experience what happens when we take our art, drama, music, and movement therapy practices outdoors. The themes of the day include:

• Nature’s metaphoric language
• Core skills when working outdoors
• Sensory play outdoors with children
• Groups work, adults, and seasonal themes
