Your morning routine is quietly shaping how your eyes and your brain feel for the rest of the day! 👁️

Most of us are on a screen within minutes of waking up. Emails before breakfast. Scrolling before coffee. And by midday, our eyes are already running on empty. 🪫

But a few small, intentional habits before work begins can change that completely.

Here are 3 simple things you can do before your workday starts for calmer eyes, a clearer head, and a more productive day:

1. Step outside for natural light and movement 🌿
Even just 10 minutes outside in the morning makes a real difference. Natural light helps regulate your circadian rhythm, signals to your brain that it’s time to be alert, and gives your eyes a chance to focus at distance, something they rarely get once screen time begins.

2. Put your blue light glasses on before your first screen 👓
Most people reach for their blue light glasses when their eyes are already tired and strained. But the real benefit comes from wearing them proactively… before you open your laptop, before you check your phone, before the screen time begins.

3. Hydrate and do a blink reset 💧
Drink a full glass of water and take 10 slow, deliberate blinks before you sit down at your desk. We blink up to 60% less when we’re staring at screens, and even mild dehydration can make dry, tired eyes worse. Starting your day hydrated and consciously ‘resetting’ your blink rate is one of the simplest things you can do.

Small habits. Consistent practice. A genuinely more comfortable day.
