As Bonfire Night was on Wednesday, this weekend is likely to bring more displays. Whilst the sky fills with colour and sparkle, let’s make sure everyone enjoys the celebrations safely and comfortably.

Some tips to enjoy this weekend safely:
- If you are setting off fireworks at home, try to do so at reasonable times. While you can continue until 11pm, finishing your celebrations earlier can be considerate to neighbours who go to bed sooner.
- Keep pets safe indoors where possible. Even just closing the curtains can help make anxious animals calmer!

Last week, we held our annual Care Professional Conference - and what a fantastic day it was! With such a large team, we hosted three sessions across the day to make sure everyone could join. And since it was half term, we even set up a kids’ corner so no one missed out.

This year’s theme was “Own It” - owning your clients, your schedules, and your community. Our Care Professionals know our clients better than anyone, and hearing them share their knowledge and experiences was truly inspiring.
We celebrated success, recognised some real heroes, and applauded our incredible long-service Care Pros — some of whom have been with us for over 13 years!

We are nothing without the huge, beating heart of our Care Pro team. It was wonderful to celebrate together, share hugs, and remind everyone just how brilliant they are.

Yesterday, our Relationship Manager, Mel, and People Experience Liaison, Enuri, enjoyed a wonderful morning bringing Betty’s Flat to Wimbledon Library.

Armed with our Home Instead car magnet and a table full of engaging activities, they spent the morning chatting with visitors at the Be a Care Detective stand — meeting new faces and sharing more about what we do.
Three potential new Care Professionals stopped by to learn about joining our team, and Mel even chatted to a lady who was feeling a little lonely but left excited to join our Love to Sing group on Monday afternoons.

It’s these local connections that help us reach more people in our community, whether they’re looking for support, companionship, or a rewarding new role.
