Spent the day at the Bond Solon Expert Witness Conference — a side of my work most people don’t see.
Alongside my clinical practice, I’m instructed as an expert witness for cases involving scarring, burns and skin-related trauma. It means assessing injuries objectively, providing clear reports, and helping courts understand the realities of scarring and long-term outcomes.
The conference was a solid reminder of the responsibility involved in medico-legal work: accuracy, clarity, and staying current with best practice. Important work and a vital part of supporting fair, informed decisions for patients and claimants.

Joined the SCAR Symposium with my husband and business partner, and I have to shout out the phenomenal RuthAnn Fanstone. One of the most knowledgeable scar-specialist physios I’ve ever heard. Her talk on SCAR assessment and rehabilitation was next level.
RuthAnn has over 30 years of experience working in burns, trauma and scar rehab. She specialises in scar mobilisation (both manual and mechanical), scar assessment, and rehab techniques that actually transform how scars feel and move.
She’s the founder of Scarchange, her own specialist scar service. Her philosophy? “Changing scars, changing lives.” And honestly, she lives it. 💪
If you’re interested in deep-dive scar rehab, she’s someone to bookmark. More about RuthAnn’s work: thelondonscarclinic.com and scarchange.org.uk

I recently joined to talk about medical tattooing - how it supports scar recovery and restores confidence.
Medical tattoo - make sure the top layer of skin is healed before wearing makeup or camo cream. Everyone’s different so this can take between 3-10 days depending on your immune system. It’s worth the wait! ✨

Had medical tattooing or permanent makeup?
If you’re going for an MRI scan, let your radiologist or MRI technician know beforehand.
Why? The pigments can cause a tingling sensation during the scan, it’s harmless, just good to be aware of.
They may also show up slightly on imaging, but it doesn’t affect your health or the scan’s safety.
Just make sure you (and your MRI team) are in the loop.

I’ve just recorded my digital presentation for The Scar Symposium. It will be live to watch at the time of the event. Thanks to for the guidance and good luck with the preparations over the coming weeks.
The event launches on the Saturday 15th November.
I’ve just watched Kryolan’s new video celebrating 80 years behind the brand and it really resonated with me.
I first used Kryolan products when training at the Glauco Rossi School of Makeup, and it’s been part of my work ever since. From makeup products to camouflage cream to medical tattooing, the products have always been consistent, high quality, and created with real care.
What I love about this history is how products designed for theatre also became invaluable in medicine: from Archibald McIndoe (Veil Cover Cream) and The Guinea Pig Club to the patients we help today. Few brands can say their work has had such lasting impact.
It’s inspiring to see behind the scenes of a brand I’ve trusted for nearly 30 years. Congratulations Kryolan on 80 years of dedication and world-class service.
Looking ahead, I’d love to explore collaboration on pigments for medical tattooing. There are still gaps in the colour systems, and with Kryolan’s expertise, I believe we could make a real difference for patients.
If anyone at Kryolan would like to connect, I’d be delighted to start that conversation.
To mark our 80th anniversary, we created a brand film that takes you inside the world of Kryolan. This video offers a behind-the-scenes look at what goes int...

Medical tattooing is not always about large, dramatic results. Sometimes, it’s about that one fine line - a single stroke that softens a story written on the skin. Read more about the precision of medical tattooing, as fine detailing is where true artistry meets clinical precision.

As a specialist Medical Tattooist based in the South East of England, I have developed a reputation for scar camouflage and facial feature restoration in the field of Permanent Cosmetics, Medical Tattooing and Skin Camouflage.
I am a member of The British Association of Skin Camouflage and trained with them for temporary coverage of burns and scars and The Finishing Touches Group for Permanent Cosmetics and Medical Tattooing. Since then I have undertaken further specialist training with Nouveau Contour for brows and lips, and The Linda Paradis Group for tattoo removal.
As well as the private sector, I led NHS clinics at the Burns and Plastics unit, Morriston Hospital, Swansea, specialising in ni**le/ar**la tattooing and temporary camouflage cover of burns and scars. I now run private clinics from Harley Street Skin Clinic in Reigate, Surrey and The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead.
I was awarded the 20 years of excellence Life Changing Procedure for my work with ni**le ar**la tattooing.
Last year I was featured on ITV ‘This Morning with Lorraine Kelly’ performing hair stroke brows for a feature on anti-ageing alongside Dr Khan and Dr Devine.
I collaborated with The Katie Piper Foundation and The Telegraph to create a time-lapse video of myself applying Camouflage and Makeup on a burns survivor demonstrating the positive effects this has on her physical and mental wellbeing. I am also a consultant and stockist for Veil Cover Cream UK.
My career has exposed me to a wealth of experience in understanding and communicating with clientele from varied backgrounds and social circles, each with different needs and expectations.
I’m passionate about using my skill and precision with detail to offer a high-end service and truly care about helping each individual find confidence within their appearance.
