The effects of pollution and climate change are not evenly distributed, with low- and middle-income countries being the most vulnerable. More than 90% of deaths caused by air pollution occur in these countries.

To achieve the World Health Organisation’s vision of Health for All, we must tackle these inequities head on.

At Huma, we're committed to reducing health inequities and promoting sustainable practices to ensure that everyone has access to a healthy future.

To mark its 75th anniversary, the World Health Organisation has made Health for All the focus for this year. This Earth Day, we are looking at how planetary health is an essential component of reaching that goal.

Did you know that pollution is responsible for one in six deaths globally? Air pollution alone caused almost 75% of these deaths in 2019.

At Huma, we believe that everyone should have an opportunity to attain their highest level of health. That's why we work with governments, hospital groups, universities, life science and technology companies to reduce health inequities and promote sustainable practices.

Our new Class IIb certification means you can provide more proactive, predictive and smarter patient care.

Our software as a medical device ( ) generates personalised insights from a patient's medical history, symptoms, digital biomarkers and current condition to accurately diagnose even high-acuity conditions.

We help clinical teams formulate treatment plans, recommend medications, proactively monitor patients’ progress and stay informed of any changes or issues that arise.

Software as a medical device (SaMD) should be properly regulated to ensure patient safety, but only 7% of digital health ventures produce clinical trial data, and fewer than one in 10 digital health ventures make regulatory filings.

With our recent EU MDR Class IIb certification, Huma is changing the game. On the Huma blog, our Global Director of QARA Rudolf Wagner explains:

- What EU MDR Class IIb certification is
- How Huma achieved Class IIb
- What Class IIb means for existing and future users of Huma's platform

It’s a big day for Huma! We have become the first and only company to be awarded EU MDR Class IIb certification for a disease-agnostic SaMD platform.

This means our platform can now monitor patients of all ages with any condition - including infants and in pregnancy - and can connect with a range of external devices, such as heart rate, blood sugar monitors or smart inhalers.

We can also support clinicians to manage serious and critical conditions such as heart failure, COPD exacerbations, surgical recovery, cancer, immunodeficiency and asthma attacks.

This is a huge milestone for Huma and for the healthcare industry. Thank you to everyone who made it happen.

Clare, Marta and Dennis from our DCT team represented Huma at OCT Nordics last week.

Now they’re in Amsterdam for Clinical Trials Europe (booth 75) showing everyone how to conduct fully remote or hybrid clinical trials that improve protocol adherence, engagement, retention and diversity.

We’re so proud of our team’s dedication to sharing how we’re accelerating digital-first care and research.
