DJ FunkOMart aka Bob Ravelli is originally from Philadelphia the home of Philly funk and soul epitomized by the Sound of Philadelphia. He specializes in funk, soul and classic dance tracks in particular disco classics. He also likes to play current dance tracks with a neo disco vibe. His monthly Voices Radio show Q***r As Dancing features gay dance and club classics and highlights q***r recording artists.

He has played at various clubs around London. He was a resident DJ at the iconic Friendly Society in Soho and at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern for many years for Bar Wotever and Duckie late night. He has had gigs at The Glory, The Eagle and The Standard Hotel. He also played at Nico’s Bar for Body Movements and Hootananny in Brixton.

07:00 - 09:00 - States of Matter: Chronostasis

Chronostasis is an exploration of our cyclical apocalyptic timescape in the context of technological and political progress. Journey a frenetic, palindromic sound collage traversing the old 60s to our new 20s. Are the jagged jumps between blissful ignorance and emboldened protest, brushes with doom or compounding progress? What seems prophetic, may merely be… jarringly familiar. Humans have only ever known one solution to this cyclic rhythm: to dance with the system.
