Ours was full of smiles and festive fun. Santa could not make it, but he sent Mrs. Claus and surprise there were two of them!

Our residents loved receiving their gifts and celebrating with us and their loved ones. It was a wonderful day filled with Christmas spirit. ❤️🎁

Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but it does bring its challenges for some people living with dementia and for the families and carers supporting them. 💙

Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline is open every day over the festive season except Christmas Day. The helpline is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm, and at weekends and on bank holidays from 9am to 5pm. On Christmas Day the helpline is closed, but support is available as normal on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. You can call free on 0800 888 6678 or email helpline@dementiauk.org.

The Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Connect Support Line (0333 150 3456) is usually open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve with shorter hours around 9am to 5pm. It is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and normally open on Boxing Day with shorter hours around 10am to 4pm.
