Appletini, a six-year-old tortoiseshell cat, has been searching for a forever home for nearly a year now but is yet to be matched with her perfect parent.

But she’s found a charmingly heartbreaking way to stand out - by gathering presents for her foster carers as a way of saying thank you for their care.

A spokesperson from Battersea said: “She has the sweetest habit of fetching apples from her foster home apple tree and bringing them to her humans as gifts - just one of the many ways she shows affection.”

Poor Appletini - we hope she finds her loving forever home as soon as possible. 🍏❤️
