✨SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT✨

Dr Ian Simcock is the lead clinical-academic radiographer at Great Ormond Street Hospital and has recently completed an NIHR funded PhD using micro-CT for post-mortem fetal imaging following a miscarriage and continues to work alongside parents and charities within this area to inform and progress these vital clinical services. He has been awarded multiple awards for research impact for this innovative work and attracted over ÂŁ500,000 of personal research funding.

He serves as Chair of the Society of Radiographers Research Group, sits on the International Advisory Board of the Editorial Board for Radiography Journal and is a keen advocate for developing Clinical-Academic Careers for Radiographers and other Allied Health Professionals/Nurses and is mentoring others along this pathway.

Ian will speak at in a Patient session on 'From focus groups to co-production – engagement in pregnancy loss research', as well as in the popular Doctorate Den.

L*l Khalif is a radiology leader with more than 15 years of frontline and strategic experience shaping imaging services across diverse clinical settings. As Head of Imaging and Diagnostics at One Harley Street, she is leading the development of a next generation diagnostic service that unites precision imaging, advanced technology, and patient centred design to create a model of clinical excellence powered by innovation.

Her career includes leading a pioneering treatment in the UK as a Lead Radiographer, a milestone that deepened her commitment to regenerative medicine and expanded her perspective on what is possible at the frontier of care. She has since led major initiatives embedding AI into imaging workflows, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and system‑wide performance.

✨SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT✨

Dr David Woolf is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, specialising in lung cancer. He has extensive experience in Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT) delivering this for primary lung cancers and oligometastatic disease and is the lead for this technique locally. He also treats patients with complex radiotherapy, systemic therapy as well as thoracic malignancies with Proton Beam Therapy.

He trained in London and holds a Master's Degree in Oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research and a Doctorate of Medicine from Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. He is involved in leading international research, including a multi-million pound NIHR grant for a platform study (TOURIST) to study lung radiotherapy, and has authored over 50 research publications. He is member of the UK SABR consortium Committee and Royal College of Radiologists Learning Committee.
