☕️ We’ve just wrapped up another WatchHouse site, this time at One Millennium Bridge, designed by Cake Architects and fitted out by Cumberland. It’s a warm, mature space, a proper hangout, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Gail’s next door is feeling a little worried!

📺 For this site, we designed a stunning 1.5m x 2m COB LED wall with a 1.2mm pixel pitch, enclosed in a stainless steel chassis with super tight margins. Brightsign powers the display, while Embed Signage manages the wider estate’s CMS needs.

🔈We also handled the background music, choosing Gallo Acoustics A’Diva speakers with stainless steel finishes and grey fabric covers, perfectly complementing the stainless accents throughout the space. The system is powered by Blaze by Sonance Professional DSP and amplification, giving a seamless audio experience.

Beyond AV, we also took care of the data design and installation, along with active IT supply, setup, and ongoing support.

From London to New York, we bring spaces to life, seamlessly blending AV, IT, and design! 👊

👋 Meet Josh, our new Commissioning Engineer!

Josh joins us with a wealth of experience from working within a university environment, which means he brings a strong customer-first mindset and a real understanding of how projects need to move at pace, without ever losing sight of the end user experience. That balance is absolutely key in what we do, and it’s something he’s already demonstrated since day one. 🙌

He stepped into the role following a team change and has hit the ground running. Over the past few months, it’s been a full-on introduction to life at Tateside, getting up to speed on a wide range of our installations, diving headfirst into new projects, learning new DSPs and fully embracing our workflow.

He’s adapted brilliantly, working closely with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve more complex system challenges. It’s been great to see him get stuck in and make the role his own so quickly.

On a personal note from Jack, “He fits right in. An impressive rotation of chequered shirts, a solid beard game, and quite possibly the most remarkable sweet tooth we’ve ever seen, I thought I liked doughnuts, but Josh has taken that to a professional level (and somehow doesn’t put on a pound).” 🍩

💬 Josh says, “The last few months have been a real baptism of fire, where I've been brought up to speed on a staggering number of excellent Tateside installations, and been thrown very much in the deep end on upcoming projects! I'm feeling very lucky to be here, and am looking forward to seeing what we can create next.”

Welcome to the team, Josh! 🎉

We’ve just completed this space for RSHP, an architectural firm, of course, they know their needs and notice every detail, but since attention to the little things is part of our DNA, there was no need to sweat. 💦

The brief was to replace and upgrade all the AV, maintain exceptional screen and audio performance, and make the space flexible for multiple layouts.

So that's just what we did, here's how!👇

📺 Displays: Upgraded the previous 65” displays with LG Electronics 110” at one end and 86” at the other. The room is sub-divisible, each half can operate independently, or both can be combined to function as a single space.

🔊 Audio: Removed existing ceiling microphones and installed Shure UK MXA 710 linear mics, which were demo’d on site last year to the client, who approved both their design (fitting for an architect) and audio performance. The system works seamlessly whether the rooms are split or joined.

📹 Video: USB cameras and soundbars replaced with a Yealink S90 system plus additional UVC86 cameras for presenters and tracking. Fully operational whether the rooms are combined or split.

⚡ Control & UX: The QSC QSYS 24F in the rack manages the system, with multiple Yealink MTouch panels deployed for flexibility. The client wanted the space to work even when layouts change, for example, removing a desk would normally require unplugging a single panel, leaving the room unusable. By providing two panels per room (front and desk), full control is always available, no matter the setup.

💻 BYOD: RSHP requested multiple USB-C BYOD positions, three per room, instead of the usual one. When the rooms are combined, all BYOD positions can route to both displays. We achieved this using Lightware Visual Engineering UK TPN devices with SDVoE over 10GbE, delivering lossless, zero-latency video while routing USB independently, allowing video and USB to be managed as separate, flexible layers.

We love projects like this and take pride in getting the details right, so delivering a space where every element is intentional and works seamlessly is the icing on the cake for us!

Slight misinterpretation when we asked Ale and Will to pull the cable…

We know who we're putting our money on. 💪

Shame there was an actual job to do, so before long this turned into a very civilised, very professional cable route through a cinema ceiling.

But why, you ask? What started as a cinema is now being used more and more for presentations and keynote events, hiring kit each time and costs stacking up!

🔈 So we proposed a fixed audio system for speech and presentation, soon to feature Martin Audio Ltd, Sennheiser and QSC Q-SYS!

That’s the glamorous bit.
But as Paddy would say… “let the cable meet the hole.”
…not actually sure that’s appropriate…

Who would you put your money on? 💰

Whilst everyone else is eating tapas and drinking sangria at , there are still some of the team back in Blighty keeping the cogs turning. (Sorry!) 😆

We’ve just completed Martinos, a beautifully refined restaurant set in a Grade II-listed building on Sloane Square, designed by Studio Drago.

🔈 Audio was a priority from day one, but visually it needed to disappear. With all the arches, curves and warm timber finishes, anything on show was a hard no.

🔈 That led us down an invisible audio route. We specified Amina Technologies Ltd Sapphire 250 speakers, plastered flush into the ceilings and finished with a final microcement layer. They deliver a full, balanced sound with a nicely diffuse audio field - not usually our first choice in restaurant spaces, but a perfect fit here.

🔈 The reception area needed a slightly different approach thanks to its vaulted ceiling. Instead, we installed an Amina Mobius speaker bonded directly to a high-gloss timber panel. Completely discreet, but still warm, present and engaging.

🔈 Behind the scenes, everything is powered by a Blaze Audio mixer/DSP amp, giving the team simple, intuitive control while allowing us to properly tune the system to the space.

We also delivered the full data infrastructure throughout the project, clean, hidden and considered, just like everything else.

Sangria-fuelled adventures aside, the Tateside team in Blighty made sure Martinos delivers invisible audio, without anyone noticing! 🙌 🍹

Leaderboard OBLITERATED 💥 This week Natalie Grundy, from onemedia didn’t just beat the record…she smashed it.

A huge 170” now sits at the top of and suddenly everything else looks very small. 😂

With that bombshell dropped, next week is your FINAL chance to get involved online and put your name in the running for the coveted (and gloriously unnecessary) prize.

⏰ Miss the deadline? Don’t panic.
If you’re heading to , we’ll be bringing the legendary Tateside 8m tape measure with us.
Fancy taking on the Inches Challenge live?

Drop us a message and we’ll make it happen, live at ISE next week! 🇪🇸

One tape.
One stretch.
One last chance.

29/01/2026

We’re heading to next week and instead of a sensible announcement… we made posters that look like old-school rave flyers listing who from the team is going. 😎

Oh, and if you didn't catch it, that's Jack, Andy, Ben and Joby!

No deeper meaning.
Just ISE.
Maybe it’ll lure a few more E1 stragglers to Barcelona. Who knows!

See you there! ✌️

We’ve just wrapped the sound system design and delivery for The Dover Street Counter in Mayfair, and this one’s a bit special. 🤗

Getting to work on a project where the venue really gets audio (and where we’re encouraged to really play with it) is always a bit of a dream for us, and it shows in the end result.

The moment you walk in, the hip-hop-inspired playlist fills the space and sets the tone straight away. This was always going to be about proper sound, done right. 👊

Our brief was to create a system that delivered serious quality, while keeping everything discreet and tailored to each space. What we installed:

🔊 Main bar
1 SOUND C8 full-range loudspeakers with passive radiators, delivering weight and punch without the need for separate subs

🔊 Ground floor dining
AUDAC Viro 5s on matching L-brackets, keeping a clean, consistent aesthetic at a sharper price point

🔊 Secret basement club
– 1Sound C8s as tops
– 1Sound SUB215 for serious low-end weight
– 1Sound C6s as DJ monitors
– Full Pioneer DJ setup (CDJ-3000s + DJM-A9)
– Chauvet Pro DMX lighting to build atmosphere

Behind the scenes, the system is built around Optimal Audio DSP and Powersoft amplification, giving rock-solid reliability and simple day-to-day control via a web app and physical volume controllers.

The result is a seriously fun venue you’d happily stumble out of at 2am. 💃

Huge credit to the team behind The Dover Street Counter, the reviews speak for themselves. 👏

📏🔥 This week’s Inches Game leaderboard is LIVE! 🔥📏

First off, a huge thank you to everyone who had a go - everyone loves a trier!

This week came with controversy… some rules were broken, and tries were disqualified.

The top spot remains with Excite Audio Visual Ltd at 165”, but it was a very close call - David Farrelly from Bose Professional came in just behind at 164”!

Other highly commended entries include:

Daisy Costello from Copper Leaf Media – didn’t quite get the physics, which led to disqualification!
Amit Patel from Futuresource – for best location: LA 🌴
Adam Carter from Scanlite Visual Communications – committed, but rules are rules!
Colin Thody from embed signage – for best innuendo 😏
Special mention: Douglas Scheller from CloudCasting Corporation – absolute legend, took the brief to the next level 🔥

With approaching, the leaderboard is still wide open. Who will rise, who will flop, and who will finally claim the top spot next week?

📲 Grab your 8m tape measure, film your stretch, tag & use hashtag .

Leaderboard glory and the coveted prize awaits… 👀

Yes, it really is a truck full of AV goodness. Headed to one of our brand-new sites, this is a monster of a project! 🔥

We can’t say too much about this one just yet (you know how it is), but this is only a fraction of the kit going in. The site is so big it’ll happily swallow the contents of this lorry, and there’ll be plenty more deliveries like this over the course of the year to fit out meeting rooms, presentation spaces and some properly experiential areas.

All in all, a very cool project indeed. 🙌
And of course… classic red tape on the boxes.
Can you guess the disti? 🤔

Last week’s Inches Game leaderboard is LIVE 🔥

And sitting at the top right now is Ellie from 2BHeard with a mighty 158”. Big stretch. Big commitment. Big respect. 👏

But don’t get comfortable… the leaderboard is still wide open.

With three weeks to go until , there’s plenty of time for someone new to step up, stretch further, and walk away with the coveted (and entirely unnecessary) prize.

👉 Anyone can get involved, AV engineers, suppliers, competitors, mates of mates. All you need is an 8m tape measure, a bit of nerve, and a willingness to see how far is too far.

Think you can out-inch Ellie? 📏

Will you be the one we’re writing about this time next week?
