Kerri's Journey 💙

In June 2021, Kerri and her partner started trying for a baby. Kerri was 30 years old, they were in a long-term relationship, and in great physical health. As the months passed, with no success, they turned to their GP, and after two years, they were referred for fertility testing.

Following six months of ovulation induction medication, Kerri qualified for IVF on the NHS. After doing some research, they chose to have their treatment at King's Fertility.

Tests showed Kerri had mild PCOS, but no clear reason could be found as to why pregnancy hadn't happened naturally.

"The staff were incredible, kind, reassuring, and always kept us updated on our embryo's development."

On 6th November 2024, their best embryo was transferred. Just 11 days later, the word they had been waiting 3.5 years to see finally appeared on the test stick: "Pregnant".

Kerri's beautiful boy, Leo, was born prematurely at 34+3 weeks, weighing a healthy 5.4lbs.

"Without King's, I wouldn't be a mum today. I know how lucky we are that our first round of IVF was successful, and I am forever grateful to everyone who helped create our little miracle" 💙

As part of our Q&A series, one of our followers asked, "What factors affect whether pregnancy is successful, even with a viable embryo?".

Our Head of Embryology, Anastasia, explains what can influence implantation and the journey to pregnancy 💙

Zanna & Anton's fertility journey started in January 2022, when they were referred for IVF after years of struggling with PCOS, endometriosis, and a fibroid that was discovered in Zanna's womb.

The journey wasn't easy, with an emotional rollercoaster, physical challenges, and side effects of medication, to the fear of failure with one failed round and only one more left to go.

The team at King's Fertility guided and supported them every step of the way. From procedures that felt daunting to more practical resources, Zooms and e-learning guides, everything helped make the process more manageable.

Along the way, there were little signs of hope, such as special dates and numbers that felt like more than a coincidence.

Two years, two rounds of treatment and two embryo transfers later, their dream finally came true. They welcomed their baby girl, Madison-Rae, into the world in 2025.

"For anyone facing fertility struggles, there is magic along the way, even when it feels invisible. Hold on to hope, keep dreaming and never stop wishing. Thank you, King's Fertility, for helping make our family complete" 💙
