My sister and I recently completed a Paediatric First Aid and Basic Life Support course with Angela and cannot recommend her highly enough.

She was so warm, kind and she created a very welcoming environment.

The course was extremely comprehensive, covering a wide range of scenarios with real-life examples that made everything easy to understand and remember.

Angela explained things clearly, took the time to answer every question, and made sure everyone we both felt confident and supported throughout.

We never felt rushed or worried about asking questions, no matter how small.

An extremely informative, engaging and comprehensive course, we would highly recommend Angela to anyone looking for amazing first aid training, whether that is parents/carers, anyone working with children, employers or employees.

HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS 🎃

Everyone loves a good scare on Halloween, but not when it comes to the safety of those little trick-or-treaters. Fortunately, there are lots of easy things parents and kids can do to stay safe on the spookiest of holidays.

Hard Facts about Halloween Safety

On average, children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car and killed on Halloween than on any other day of the year.

Top Tips for Halloween Safety

Carry glow sticks or flashlights, use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags, and wear light colors to help kids see and be seen by drivers.

Join kids under age 12 for trick-or-treating. Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween and may dart into the street.

Turn on headlights early in the day to spot kids from further away.

Remind kids to cross the street at corners or crosswalks.

When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size and fire proof to prevent trips and falls as well.

Choose face paint over masks when possible. Masks can limit children’s vision - hope this helps just a few tips to guide you !

I loved working at the Royal Free, I loved the team I worked with, I loved the challenges, but most of all looking back I loved being extraordinary and not knowing it because it’s just what we did, as nurses, we went beyond what was necessary, we touched the lives of others “literally” he had a cardiac arrest (his heart had stopped), he survived and wrote that letter
