Self Care is not only manicures pedicures retreats quiet time in the sanctuary ...(although social distancing has put a stop to that)
SELF CARE is receiving counselling it includes talking about what is causing you to not function effectively each day....its seeking to remove that heavy cloud over your head. Counselling is time just for YOU... and now it's online so its even more convenient.
Talking about it is a preventative measure of crisis.....its expressing that hurt the betrayal the grief the pain of abuse , uncertainty instability, the impact of lockdown, negative news in the press or the anxiety of the recent 'freedom day'.
I say talk about it. It will not change what happened but talking can help you, it really can. Its not easy but necessary for Mental and emotional and may I add physical HEALTH.
