Happy International Women’s Day!

Food for the Brain would not be where it is today without the intelligence, leadership and steady determination of women.

From our CEO Emma George, who guides our strategy and growth.
To the women working behind the scenes every day to expand access to prevention tools and brain health education, including Kezia, Natalie, Johanne, Catherine, Jo, Rugile, Lorraine, Kim, Kate and Dorota.

Our work is also strengthened by researchers such as Dr Celeste De Jager Loots, our expert in neuropsychological assessment who helped develop and validate our free Cognitive Function Test.

And by supporters including Emma Beswick, co-founder of Lifecode Gx and Hannah Sutton, founder of Natural Ketosis whose commitment and generosity help sustain this charitable work.

International Women’s Day also highlights an important reality.

Alzheimer’s disproportionately affects women. Nearly two-thirds of those living with the disease are female. Hormonal transitions, longer life expectancy and historic underrepresentation in research all contribute to this imbalance.

Today we celebrate the women leading, supporting and advancing the science of brain health.

Prevention is not theoretical.
It is personal.

Scientific breakthroughs happen when passionate minds come together.

One year ago, OptimaMind launched an ambitious European research project asking a
fascinating question: Can Time-Restricted Eating help protect the ageing brain?

For the past year, a consortium of leading scientists and universities across Poland, Italy,
Austria and Estonia have been working together to find out, investigating how nutrition,
lifestyle and biology interact to shape our brain health as we age.

We are proud that Food for the Brain is part of this international collaboration, helping make
sure the science does not stay in the lab, but reaches the people who need it most.
Year one built the alliance.

The science continues.

Congratulations to Sabine on completing her MSc at the Geneva College of Longevity Sciences.

As part of her thesis, Sabine integrated Food for the Brain’s online, validated Cognitive Function Test into her study design, pre- and post-intervention.

This is what applied research looks like: structured lifestyle interventions paired with scalable
cognitive assessment that can be deployed remotely and consistently.

As more research moves into the real world, having a validated, online, self-administered
cognitive assessment measure becomes essential.

If you are an MSc/PhD researcher or an organisation running studies in nutrition, lifestyle
medicine, longevity, or cognitive health, and require a digital cognitive assessment tool, we would love to hear from you - research@foodforthebrain.org

Take 10 minutes today and check your brain health.

❓ Are you supporting your brain properly to achieve this year’s goals?

Big plans need more than motivation.
They need energy, focus, steady thinking, and a brain that can keep up.

The DRIfT 5-in-1 test helps you understand what your brain needs by checking five key blood markers:

💧 Vitamin D – supports energy, motivation & mood
🐟 Omega-3 fats – essential for focus & memory
🔬 Homocysteine – protects brain cells & long-term cognition
💉 HbA1c – stable energy and clear thinking
⚖️ Glutathione Index – protects brain cells, supports mental resilience & long-term brain health

Think of it as supporting your brain properly, so it can support everything you want to achieve this year.

And every test does more than help you. Your results contribute to global brain health research, helping prevent dementia for future generations. 🌍

Set yourself up properly.
