His study—conducted with Prof. Aron Popovtzer, Director of the Sharett Oncology Institute and HCRI—aims to develop an innovative, personalized method for monitoring radiotherapy in head and neck cancer patients using circulating cell-free DNA.

We’re also proud to celebrate Dr. Shay Sharon, DMD, MD, PhD, specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hadassah, who received the Inspiring Lecture Award for his groundbreaking work on the intra-tumoral microbiome in oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma.

At the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, compassion and unity define every aspect of care.
Jewish, Muslim, and Christian professionals work side by side—proving that healing transcends background, belief, and circumstance.

At the Transcultural Nursing Society’s Annual Conference in Maine, Rely Alon and Orit Meridan presented Hadassah’s model of care, highlighting how open dialogue, cultural understanding, and emotional resilience keep teams strong even in times of conflict.

Under the leadership of Prof. Yoram Weiss, Hadassah has built a culture of trust through resilience workshops and roundtable discussions that encourage staff to communicate openly and respectfully. This same compassion extends to patient care—where every faith, culture, and family is honoured.

By sharing its approach with global nursing leaders, Hadassah continues to inspire the world, showing that when empathy leads, healing follows—and medicine truly knows no boundaries.

During A Night in Paris by Hadassah, Prof. Emmanuel Messas — President of Hadassah France, Hadassah International Board Director, and a world-renowned cardiologist — set the tone for an unprecedented evening with precision, conviction, and purpose.

"For me, our work stands on three pillars: unity and solidarity, excellence in medicine, and humanity. As a leader, I am proud to belong to an organization that opens its arms to everyone - regardless of faith, nationality, gender, or religion. Our humanity is based on what in Hebrew we call: תיקון עולם (tikkun olam), repairing the world.

As a physician, I’m always in awe of Hadassah’s high clinical standards, of the compassion of its care, and the groundbreaking ingenuity of its basic and clinical research.

As a European, I’m especially grateful that Hadassah responded so effectively to the war in Ukraine - from treating refugees on the Polish border to sharing our medical expertise with Ukrainian doctors.”

Prof. Messas connected Paris to Jerusalem, Europe to Israel, and every guest in the room to a mission defined by impact. A Night in Paris gained its momentum from moments like this - sharp, grounded, and driven by leaders who transform vision into action.

At 16, Stacey experienced a life threatening accident in the Judean Desert while on a school tour.

A helicopter rescue. - an emergency tracheostomy performed in the sand. - surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem - months of rehabilitation: rebuilding her body, her memory, her voice.

More than 20 years later, Stacey stood in Paris as living proof of Hadassah’s DNA: Precision medicine, expertise, high-level trauma care, world-class rehabilitation, innovation, and a medical team of every faith working together in healing.

The same elements that saved her life continue to define Hadassah today.

Two decades later, she calls her doctors every year to thank them Two decades later, Hadassah remains part of her life’s purpose.

That night in Paris, she turned to the Hadassah doctors in the room:

Prof. Yoram Weiss, Director General Dr. Elior Moreh, Head of Neurological Rehabilitation at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center; and Dr. Ahmad Nama, Head of Emergency Medicine at Hadassah Ein Kerem —and thanked them on behalf of every life saved, including her own.

Stacey reminded us that Hadassah is not a hospital you leave behind, but a place that stays with you forever.

Dr. Oded Volovelsky, Director of Pediatric Nephrology at Hadassah, has been awarded the MAVRI Start-Up Research Grant (ISF 2025) for his pioneering work on Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).

Dr. Volovelsky’s team at Hadassah identified new molecular pathways driving cystic kidney disease in TSC-revealing promising treatment targets where no effective therapies currently exist. This discovery brings new hope to children and families worldwide.

This achievement reflects Hadassah’s leadership in advancing research that translates directly into patient care.

At Hadassah Medical Centre, compassion and innovation come together to change lives.

A 2 year-old Palestinian boy is receiving daily proton therapy treatments—often called the beam of hope—at Hadassah Ein Kerem. Thanks to the humanitarian organisation: Road to Recovery, he is transported safely each day to the hospital for care.

Guided by Hadassah’s expert medical team and supported by P-Cure’s advanced technology, his treatments are performed with remarkable precision. Using P-Cure’s compact, patient-adapted system, therapy is delivered in a seated position under anaesthesia, allowing for exact tumour targeting while protecting healthy tissue—a breakthrough that reduces long-term side effects and supports a better quality of life.

This collaboration between Hadassah, P-Cure, and Road to Recovery is a shining example of how science, innovation, and humanity unite to bring healing beyond borders—offering true hope where it’s most needed.
