What is Tretinoin?

Tretinoin is a medication used to treat acne and other skin conditions. It’s also used to treat precancerous skin spots. Tretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A and is also known as all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA).

What tretinoin is used for?

Treating acne, Reducing fine wrinkles, Improving dark spots, Improving rough skin, and Treating precancerous skin spots.

How tretinoin works?

Unclogs pores, Promotes peeling of affected skin areas, Normalises skin cell turnover, Stimulates collagen, and Decreases the size of oil glands.

Side effects?

Dryness, Skin sensitivity, Sun sensitivity, Redness, and Irritation.

Who should not use Tretinoin?

People on photosensitising medications, People with inflammatory skin conditions like rosacea, Cancer patients on active chemotherapy, and Pregnant women and people that don’t use SPF.
