I’m very pleased to have been able to help this lady, and that it made such a difference to her.
Migraines are complex and multifactorial, and often require medical management. Nobody has the cure, and it’s best to draw on all the help available to manage them and minimise their impact on you, as well as sometimes to investigate other more serious potential causes of symptoms.
However, migraines may also overlap with neck pain and other types of headache, such as tension headaches, or with TMD or jaw pain, and addressing these can often lead to a reduction in both frequency and severity of symptoms.
This may involve a combination of manual therapy and exercises aimed at reducing postural tensions around the upper back, shoulder girdle, neck and sometimes jaw, as well as advice on stress management, sleep and work habits, general exercise and a range of other lifestyle factors that may impact your headaches.
