I am taking part in the science-based project run by Berkeley Univesity of California Mission: J OY !

You can take part in it too or listen to some fee inspiring talks during the GLOBAL JOY SUMMIT. or watch the Mission : Joy movie (November 13-16.)

Some of you may remember that my new year resolution for 2022 was
'I go for the joy! Life is here for me to enjoy today!"
and I have been keeping up with my resolution and put some work into it too.
Feeling joy after all is something we all can learn and develop!

Despite that this year I have been touched by many difficult and sad moments (two sisters diagnosed with cancer and a stroke , war in Ukraine etc) cultivating joy between them helped me to go through it and appreciating and loving people and life even more!

We all want joy and happiness after all , as this is one of the greatest goods...and it is free

Highly recommend you to take part in it!

May you be happy
May you be healthy
May you be joyful

What will grow from this flower pot ❓

Time will reveal it hopefully in the next few months 😀

The most important thing is to take action,
to show up,
to takie care of it but
also having trust that from this bulb a flower will bloom at some point.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

Take that first step today my friend and have faith in it!
Keep walking !

May you be happy
May you be healthy
May you take actions
May you trust life.

26/02/2022

I wandered lonely as a Cloud
That floats on high o'er Vales and Hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
   A host of golden Daffodils;
Beside the Lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:—
A Poet could not but be gay
   In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the shew to me had brought:
For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude,
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the Daffodils.

💛
My heart is full of sadness of what is going on in the World.
I'm sending love and prayers to the innocent Ukrainian and Russian people.
💛
Thank you beautiful nature and cheerful daffodils for lifting my spirit up a bit.
💛
May we All be happy, healthy and live peacefully and love each other.

Winter Solstice was yesterday!
Have you took the time acknowledging and welcoming it❓

As humans , we are affected by nature as we are part of nature, so it makes sense to live in harmony with it.

Our biological, emotional and spiritual needs are different during different seasons of the year -the more you understand it, the better your wellbeing is.

Our diets need to be adjusted accordingly to seasons.
For many of us it means eating more warm and cooked food and and less cold raw salads.

Winter is also about preserving energy - so it means more sleep, taking a bit more eeasy, and going more inwards - so maybe meditating a bit more or picking up your art and crafts or read bit more or being more with yourself in stillness and silence and do some inner work.

Winter is about letting go of things and trust that all is well and it will be - like a tree is letting its leaves fall and becoming a bit naked and vulnerable in order in spring to grow new onces and blooming marvelously during summer.

May you be happy
May you healthy
May you love Mother Nature

Ps. My morning walk today, Isn't nature just breathtaking away beautiful and wise?!

Day 29 of 12 000 steps-a-day-in-November challenge for completed :-)!

There is a lot of research on effective goal setting and what makes you more likely to succeed when setting goals.
New year is approaching and with it, many of you will set yourself new goals and challenges to achieve.
Studies have shown that in order to set effective goals, you need to make them SMART.

S - SPECIFIC
M- MEASURABLE
A- ATTAINABLE
R- RELEVANT
T - TIMELY

If you wander how to measure your mood and perhaps you would like to work on it, the POMS (Profile of Mood States) questionnaire might help or inspire you to make your own version of it.
You should complete the questionnaire at least twice, -before and after setting yourself a challenge.

If any of you would like to support me and donate to my challenge of raising some money for Mental Health Foundation please check my bio and the link is there. Highly appreciate any donation.

Ps. Picture from my walk to and from work. The park is so peaceful and beautiful, despite being located next to busy and noisy motorway.

May you be happy

Day 23 of 12 000 steps-a-day-in-November challenge for completed!

What books do you read?

I catch myself that I read a lot about nature, but actually I'm not that surprise ; being a naturopath is not only my proffesion but also my true passion :-).

If you are looking for some inspiration or christmas gifts ideas than here are a few books I will recommend:

1. Blue mind -how water makes you happier, more connected and better at what you do by William J.Nichols

2.Into the forest - how trees can help you find health and happiness by Dr Qing Li

3.The Bee book. The wonder of bees, how to protect them, beekeeping know how.

4 Herbarium - Thames & Hudson

5.Zen and the art of saving the Planet by Thich Nhat Hanh

The more we understand and love nature the more we will protect it!
Can you inspire someone to love nature a little bit more?

May you be happy
May you be healthy

Day 18 of 12 000 steps-a-day-in-November challenge for completed!

So lovely to walk to work through the Gunnersbury Park and putting myself in a relaxed and playful mood, soaking in the sunshine, the blue sky and the beautiful yellow of the ginkgo biloba trees.

Ginkgo biloba has medicinal anti-inflammatory properties and contains high levels of antioxidants (flavonoids and terpenoids)
Lots of research have been done on this incredible plant, including that ginkgo biloba may increase mental performance and wellbeing, can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression and also reduces symptoms of psychiatric disorders and dementia.

❗As always, before taking ginkgo biloba or recommending it to somebody else, make sure you check if this herb is suitable for you and it is not contraindicated, especially if you take any other kind of medication. If not sure, check it first with your herbalist, naturopath, pharmacist or your GP.

May you be happy
May you be healthy
May you love medicinal plants
