Spring is a season of awakening 🌱, but it is also when the respiratory system can feel most challenged 🫁.
In Ayurveda, this is the season of Kapha, the energy of earth and water. What accumulates over winter begins to melt and circulate, often showing up as congestion, sinus pressure, hay fever, and lingering colds.
With pollen, dust, and dampness increase in the air, the load on the respiratory system rises, especially for those prone to sensitivity.
Common signs may include:
👃 blocked sinuses
🥺 itchy eyes or throat
🤧 post-nasal drip or cough
🤯 fatigue or headaches
Ayurveda works by clearing and supporting these pathways 🧹
Nasya is a traditional therapy using facial massage, and warm medicated oils to open, cleanse, and nourish the nasal passages, and is often used to support sinus congestion, allergies, headaches, mental dullness, snoring, and dryness.
A steady approach to clearing the channels can support easier breathing and a lighter transition through the season.
