Kung Hei Fat Choi! Happy New Year!

If - like me - you’re getting ready to shake off the winter sludge be sure to warm-up before you do. So many people neglect it and that could mean the difference between a PB and a visit to see me (apols for poor poetry). But warming up is about more than limber muscles. It kickstarts a bunch of other bodily processes to keep you healthy and at your peak. Hope this is helpful!

London we love you! The last line is great.

Matthew Goodwin went to that there London the other day and what he found shook him to his core.

This is what is happening across the country.
People are leaving Reform UK already.
Local councillors have broken promises within months. Missed meetings. Failed votes. No delivery. Constituents are angry because nothing works better and some things work worse. The bins still do not get collected. Housing does not move. Bills do not drop. The anger turns inward fast.

That is why so many Reform councillors have resigned or been suspended or sacked. Not because of media bias. Because they were not ready. Because slogans collapse the moment real governance starts. They can’t do the job right and are dropping like flies.

People voted for disruption and got dysfunction.
Then came the debates. Or the refusal to attend them. That sealed it for a lot of supporters. If a party cannot explain itself under pressure it cannot run anything bigger than a page. Dodging scrutiny does not look strong for them.

Supporters notice this. Constituents have felt this. So faith has drained away. People have stop defending them

Reformers have drift back to the Conservatives out of habit. Many have turned to Advance UK look elsewhere out of frustration. Many just disengage because the illusion has broken.

This is not about ideology changing. It is about competence being exposed. Reform are not being sabotaged. They are being tested. They are failing that test. People are leaving because they feel betrayed. Council tax went up and they can’t get hold of their local MPs… They are leaving because nothing was there for them in the first place.. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿☕️🫖🪆

10 years. I can’t quite believe that this wonderful picture was taken just days before his death. But then it’s Starman, so of course I can.
Bowie was my first introduction to proper music and that opened the doors to an endless world of riches. For me his life and music showed that things could be different. Wonderful, ambiguous, inspiring, consoling, sometimes terrifying but different.
My cousin played him to me. Space Oddity. It blew my 10 year old mind. When he died she posted this. I love it and re-read it often. Hope you don’t mind cous.
Thanks Starman. We miss you.
When there is nothing left to say - a symphony plays - Heroes and angels legends and saints rejoice at your homecoming, one to the many to me all of the above - bless you for every song that helped this weird and q***r caterpillar to a butterfly to behold. My heart bids fond adieu.

Sometimes you need visitors to remind you of the embarassment of riches that is London. Mum had never been to so off we went. And among all the incredible art they’ve done something new with an old master in The Tanks gallery. The pictures don’t do justice to this massively atmospheric display of some of Giacometti’s later work. The light and shadow accentuates the textures beautifully and I love the quote from the artist. But my pics came out too bright. Nor do you get the still lingering smell of oil from the old fuel storage tanks that adds another dimension to the experience. It helped too that we went late in the day just as all the hordes were heading off. Tate cafe is a lovely place in the evening too with views of St.Paul’s and open until 11pm. Love family, love London!

Part 2 - Regions of the spine. The 3 regions of the spine have specific tasks and functions each with their own demands. Have a thought for your hardworking spine! Make sure you take regular breaks from sitting, exercise and - oh, the irony given you’re watching this - spend less time on your phone. If you need some help taking care of it I have space in Hackney today and tomorrow with a few slots free. Book via my bio.

Quite a long time ago my friends and created after a road trip in the USA. They slung Buffalo Wings from their van in Spitalfields doused in the finest hot sauce of their own making and amused all and sundry with their chatter. The van’s long gone but happily their UNSURPASSABLE sauce is still available. Order from , I highly recommend you do! The other night I was nostalgic and jonesing for some wings but sadly had none defrosted so made do with a schnitzel. Freakin’ delicious! Their sauce is great on everything! Thanks fellas for coming up with OB sauce and for the chat and company. BTW tenuous Osteopathy connection - Hot Sauce has anti-inflammatory properties 😀
