Friday Funnies. I love Calvin and Hobbes and still occasionally muse on what they’re up to. I also love that their creator - Bill Waterson - fiercely, legally, stamps on any corporate attempts to cash in on his work whilst allowing fans to pay tribute to them. Here’s a terrific fan-art update. Calvin’s grown up with a daughter of his own. Oh and note the villain in panel 3! This was published in 2011. Grayson Perry delivers again! A terrific day with my shared birthday brother . I’ll always be a year younger than you mate 😀 Lunch followed by at . Excellent, just the right size and Grayson’s witty, insightful narration is the cherry on top. It closes on the 26th so get yerselves down there. Then a meandering walk home through our wonderful city revealed lesser known artists.

I don’t believe in God but I do accept that religion is very important in the world for ill or good. Now for the first time the Archbishop of Canterbury is a woman and I only just found out. Have I been under a rock or has there been barely any coverage of this excellent and important mark of progress? Especially when there is so much bad news around. Good luck to her and shame on the news outlets mainstream or otherwise!
