Most people think burnout gets better if you just rest more.
But if that was true… you’d feel better already.

❗Burnout goes deeper than feeling tired.
It’s your nervous system feeling overloaded.
And I see this a lot in the people I help.

As a former osteopath and experienced Sophrologist, I’ve worked with many women and men who looked “fine”… but inside, they felt tired, stressed, and nothing seemed to help.

So what really works?

Not only slowing down, but teaching your body to feel safe and calm again.

That’s what Sophrology helps you do.
It uses simple tools like breathing, light movement, and visualisation to help your mind and body relax and reset.
It’s used in many places across Europe by doctors, therapists, and athletes.

If you’ve been feeling numb, stressed, or like you lost your spark, this is your sign to stop for a moment and check in with yourself.

👉 Share this with someone who you think it needs to hear this & comment CALM and I’ll send you a free short practice that can help you reset in just a few minutes.

👉 Ever feel like your body is doing one thing and your mind is doing another?
Like you’re trying to stay calm… but your shoulders are tight, your breath is shallow, and your stomach feels heavy?

Most people think stress only lives in the mind.
But your body carries the “missing puzzle pieces” too.

In Sophrology, we use a simple body map to notice what’s going on inside, head, chest, stomach, back, legs.
And it’s wild how much your body tells you once you slow down enough to listen.

Next time you feel “off,” try this:
Pause for 10 seconds, breathe slowly, and scan from your head to your toes.
Ask yourself: Where does it feel tight? Where feels low on energy?
That tiny check-in can shift your whole day.

Your body isn’t working against you.
It’s just trying to get your attention.
And when you bring the pieces back together, everything feels clearer and lighter again.

‼️Comment ‘PRACTICE’ and I’ll send you a quick Sophrology practice you can try.

And if you want more easy, scientifically researched ways to calm your body and mind, follow along.

👉 At 15, stress used to feel like something I just had to live with.
But over the years, I learned that your mind and body can change in simple ways, and that stress doesn’t need to control your whole day.

If you’re new here, I’m Dominique. I’ve spent more than 20 years helping people manage stress, sleep better, and feel more at ease using Sophrology, a method I was introduced to when I was only 15. My doctor sent me to a Sophrologist after nothing else was helping my health, and that experience changed my whole life.

I later trained with the founder of Sophrology, Dr. Alfonso Caycedo, and it became my mission to make these simple tools easy for anyone to use. Today. I’m a stress management expert, and I work with people all over the world, from busy parents to CEOs, athletes, and teams in places like Amazon, Bloomberg, and the World Economic Forum, and the challenges are always the same: stress, overwhelm, and not knowing where to start.

And these are the first steps I’d focus on if I had to start my stress-management journey all over again.
They’re simple, practical, and they really work.

If you want to try a short guided Sophrology practice that includes all these steps, breathing, grounding, relaxation, and visualisation, I’d love to send it to you.

Comment “STRESS” and I’ll send it your way.
It’s helped thousands of people feel calmer and more grounded, and I hope it supports you too.

‼️Every time I guide people through Sophrology, I’m reminded of something important: your brain is not fixed. You can rewire it. You can strengthen it. You can return to your best self again and again.

Each practice, even the smallest one, builds something inside you.
And as you reconnect with yourself, you naturally create more space, more calm, and more openness for the people around you.

Sophrology is your tool to discover what’s in your heart… and how you want to use it in your life, your relationships, and your purpose.

This is why I do what I do.

So my mission is simple: to bring practical, scientifically researched tools to people in a way that feels human, accessible, and deeply meaningful.

And I’m grateful for every opportunity to speak, teach, and help others reconnect with what’s already inside them.

👉 It’s mid-November, the time of year when the days feel shorter, the to-do lists longer, and sleep… harder to come by.

I’ve been hearing this from so many people lately:
“I only got two hours of sleep, is that even worth it?”

The truth is, a couple of hours might keep you functioning, but it doesn’t give your body what it truly needs.
When you miss out on deep and REM sleep, your brain skips its nightly “reset.” That’s why the next day feels foggy, emotional, and off-balance, it’s not weakness, it’s biology.

After 20 years working in stress management, I’ve seen how often this becomes people’s normal. They don’t just need more hours in bed, they need to teach their body how to shift back into rest mode.

That’s exactly why I created the practices inside the BeSophro App.
They help your nervous system calm, even on the nights when real sleep won’t come. I still use them myself after long travel days or full teaching weeks, they truly make a difference.

Comment “PRACTICE” and I’ll send you one you can try tonight.
And if you want to understand more about what your body is really doing during sleepless nights, there’s a full blog about this on our website; it explains the science behind it and how to gently reset your system. So leave a ❤️ and I’ll send it to you.

Because sometimes, healing your sleep starts long before your head hits the pillow.

👉 We often think calm means emptying the mind, but true calm begins with observing it.

In Sophrology, one of the most underestimated skills we teach is contemplation, the ability to simply notice what’s happening inside you, without trying to fix or judge it.

It might sound simple, but this skill rewires how your brain responds to daily stress. When you take even one minute to consciously observe your breath, the light in the room, a feeling in your chest, your nervous system moves from “reacting” to regulating.

This shift is powerful.
✨ It strengthens neural pathways for focus and calm.
✨ It teaches your body safety in stillness.
✨ It builds resilience, so you bounce back faster when life feels heavy.

After more than 20 years teaching Sophrology, I’ve seen that people who train contemplation don’t just “relax better.” They live better, more grounded, more present, more connected.

You don’t need silence or a cushion. You just need one conscious minute to look inward, not outward.

‼️Comment CONTEMPLATE if you’d like me to guide you through a short version of this practice, so you can experience the shift for yourself.

👉 So many clients tell me, “I think I’m just stressed.”
But if even the things that used to make you happy now feel like chores, you might be in burnout, not stress.

‼️Here’s what’s really happening in your body:
When you’re STRESSED, your nervous system is still fighting for you. Your heart beats faster, your focus sharpens, it’s your body saying, “Let’s get through this.” Once the pressure passes, you usually recover.

But when that stress never switches off, your body starts protecting you instead of pushing you.
Your hormones flatten, your motivation fades, and even sleep doesn’t restore you anymore.

‼️That’s BURNOUT.

You might notice it in small ways, forgetting words mid-sentence, snapping at people you love, staring at your screen for minutes unable to start a task, or feeling numb where you used to feel driven.

Your body isn’t weak. It’s trying to save energy. It doesn’t trust rest yet because it’s been in survival mode for too long.

What it truly needs isn’t a long holiday, it’s to feel safe again in small, consistent moments.

That’s what I teach with Sophrology, the scientifically researched method I’ve practiced for over 20 years.
It helps you reconnect with calm through simple body awareness, breathing, and visualization, so your nervous system learns it can breathe again, little by little.

And it’s such a joy to see this method getting recognised more and more. Sophrology has just been featured in The Guardian! 🗞️

The article explored wellbeing rituals across Europe, from siestas in Spain to thermal baths in Iceland, and now Sophrology is part of that list too.

Seeing it mentioned among these rituals feels like a full-circle moment for me. When I started BeSophro, my mission was to bring this European method to the English-speaking world, and slowly, it’s happening.

If you’ve been feeling that deep exhaustion that rest alone doesn’t fix… your body might not need more time off. It might just need the right tools.

Comment SAFE if you’d like to send you a simple Sophrology practices I teach to begin restoring that calm from within.

👉 In the early days of motherhood, even simple decisions can feel overwhelming. Add sleep deprivation, navigating a new city, or juggling work into the mix… and it’s no wonder you feel stretched thin.

But stress doesn’t just live in your head. It impacts your energy, your relationships, and how you show up for your child. I know, because I’ve lived it. That’s why I leaned on Sophrology, not just to cope, but to reconnect.

Created by neuropsychiatrist Prof. Alfonso Caycedo, Sophrology blends scientifically researched tools like breathwork, body awareness, and guided visualisation. These techniques help regulate your nervous system, increase calming alpha brainwaves, and bring balance back to your body and mind.

A consistent Sophrology, guided practice helped me and thousands of my clients sleep better, feel more in control, and tune back into what matters. It’s not about perfection, it’s about real support.

✨ Comment “BALANCE” if you’ve been feeling the weight of motherhood and want something that truly supports you. Let’s spread the word and help more mums feel this kind of calm.

👉Coming back from Morocco, I felt deeply inspired, and reminded of how easily even meaningful experiences can stretch our energy.
Even when the pace is fast and every day is full, there’s always a moment when your body reminds you to slow down, to take a breath, to notice, to simply be.

It’s something I see so often in my work too, as a Sophrologist for more than 20 years: we wait for the perfect moment to rest, but real balance comes from small pauses throughout the day, a deep breath before your next meeting, a quiet minute between tasks, a short walk without your phone.

Sophrology helps you find those pauses naturally. It trains your mind and body to come back to calm, even when life is moving quickly.

If you’d like to experience how that feels, I’ve recorded a short guided practice you can try from anywhere, anytime you need.
❤️ Comment REST below and I’ll send it to you.
