You are very welcome to join us for a wonderful day out at one of England’s most beautiful historic sites:

✨ What to expect:
• Two different guided walks led and supported by our fantastic volunteers
• Lunch together afterwards – in or outside the café depending on the sunshine ☀️
• The house will be open after lunch for those with a National Trust card or happy to pay entry (carers go free)

🚌 Transport:
Available from Hythe via the Community Minibus
We’re also happy to help arrange transport for those who might otherwise be unable to attend

💚 Carers are very welcome – come on your own or bring the person you care for

⚠️ This is always a popular event, so we recommend booking early!

💫 Our superstar Kerrie!

One of our fantastic Good Life Helper’s Kerrie from Maidstone is taking on the London Marathon, running for Alzheimer’s Research Uk. A charity that’s very close to her heart.

She shared: "Alzheimer’s Research UK is my charity, and it means so much to me. My dad was diagnosed in 2018 with mixed Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. He moved in with us shortly after, and while it was hard, we made some amazing memories. Seeing Dad go from the life and soul of a party to not knowing who I was anymore was the hardest journey I have been through. After he passed in July 2024, I joined Good Life Sorted and knew supporting families would be my calling. I always joked with Dad I would run a marathon one day, and I knew I wanted to do it for Alzheimer’s/dementia, so I set my mind to it.”

Kerrie has already raised over £6000!

We are all so proud of you Kerrie & will be cheering you on every step of the way!! 🙌 🥇

I attended the Good Life Sorted information hub at Greensands Surgery in Headcorn this morning.

While it was relatively quiet for a Monday, I was able to speak with a few potential customers who expressed interest in our services within the local area.

Yesterday I attended the Community Surgery in Headcorn which is organised by the local Parish Council each month.

It was lovely to chat with the local community about the valuable services that we are providing in Headcorn & its surrounding areas.

It was also a great networking opportunity to speak with others who also support adults in the local area.

This included chatting with the team from Kent & Medway Mental Health NHS Trust. They provide health related educational courses for adults that support wellbeing & how to take care of themselves. This is particularly relevant to those who have found themselves in a caring roll looking after family members.

We are hoping to explore further how we might collaborate to support the community in Maidstone and the surrounding areas.
