The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life.

One man, an allopathic doctor, decided to explain the problem with homeopathy. He argued,
“What’s a person going to get out of homeopathy other than junk science, a sugar pill and water? Why would anyone want to be a homeopath?”

To stress his point, he said to another guest,
“You’re a homeopath, Mrs Smith. What do you make?”

𝗠𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱,
“𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲?”

(She paused for a moment, then began.)

“𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲.
𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.

(She paused again and looked around the table.)

𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

(Mrs Smith paused one last time, then continued.)

“𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵.

She looked at him calmly and asked,

“What do you make, Doctor?”

His jaw dropped.
He went silent.

After a few years of retirement from my practice and given everything happening in our world, I’ve returned to practice and am accepting new clients . I’m still able to do appointments via Zoom or some in person visits in Central London.

I’m especially interested in working with parents and children and women’s health.

There are limits to my accessibility including that I’m not wanting to take back clients who I referred to my colleagues in 2022. I don’t think that would be ethical so hope that’s understandable.

This is a wonderful project.

As part of our commitment to making homeopathic treatment available to all who need it, we are delighted to be funding a new clinic to support military veterans.

The clinic is run by former soldier and homeopath Gabby Arthur who herself did tours in Kosovo and Iraq before leaving the army in 2005.

So she understands only too well how hard it can be for some individuals to make the transition to civilian life.
