*Only SAFEST TECHNIQUES used
I offer two of the safest methods available on the market: KERATIN BONDED extensions as well as MICRO RING extensions. Both methods involve application of individual hair extensions, meaning each strand will have its' own strong support from your natural hair. In order to be safe extensions must be of an appropriate size for your hair and individual needs. This helps control and minimise tension in various areas of your scalp through differing sizes of the connections: smaller where hair is finer and more vulnerable, and bigger where hair is strong and dense. If your extensions are too heavy for your hair, they pull on it and can cause hair loss through bald patches or traction alopecia, just like long-term use of heavy clip-in extensions.
*Hair
I pride myself in using the best quality 100% human hair extensions. There are different textures and qualities available to choose from. All hair is double drawn meaning nice full ends finish, as all the short hair has been brushed out of it. Each colour is individually blended for you on your appointment to achieve that perfect match to your particular shade. I do not use any pre-bonded hair. To achieve the most natural result, you should always go for texture as similar to your own as possible. This will not be a problem with all the choice I offer. *Aftercare
Very simple rule: WASH them - BRUSH them - LOVE them. You can keep your extensions in safely for up to 3 months, unless I specifically advice you otherwise, for example if your hair is finer. You will need to wash your hair with one of the shampoos that I recommend to ensure the extensions stay in well. You condition from mid-lengths down and brush all the way from the root using a soft bristle brush (can use a tangle-teezer) just like your own hair. Enjoy them most of all! They are not hard work because they are human hair. This also means you can heat style them and swim on your holiday without worrying.
*Maintenance
All hair extension types have to be maintained at least every 3 months, at which point you can decide to either reposition them on a fresh section closer to the root (maintenance), or remove them completely and you can always put a whole fresh new set in right away. Maintenance can involve using the same or new hair, or a bit of both. Whatever you decide, keeping any type of extensions in for longer than 3 months can cause damage to your natural hair. Your hair keeps growing and shedding as normally, and after 3 months extensions need new sections to keep the hair growth cycle intact. I provide professional service and a 24 hrs/day advice if that is what you require. Don't be shy, ask me anything, I have seen it all! And I am always happy to explain everything to you.
*Beware of cheap hair extensions
There are many 'one-day-qualification' hair extensions technicians out there. Application of hair extensions is a form of art. From choice of method, type of hair, blending the colour and placement to cut and removal, the whole process requires great skill in order to look natural and more importantly, be non-damaging to your hair. I have extensive experience with various hair loss problems and solutions, so you can rest assured you are in knowledgeable hands. Don't be fooled by a cheap price tag. Human hair is a natural product, taking years to grow and its quality depending on the lifestyle, diet and chemical processes applied to it by the owner. Cheap price tag often means both: cheap over-processed hair, and damage to your natural hair by poor application. Badly applied hair extensions can cause hair loss. Some things are not worth saving on.
