Looking forward to going live at 1.00pm - 1.30pm today to talk about Overwhelm, Anxiety and all things Mindset!

Anxiety and overwhelm - tune in to Ashgrove TV today to find out what happens to your brain when things get too much for you. Christian Baker will be explaining how it all goes pear shaped, and giving you some tips on how to find a way out.

Christian has been a hypnotherapist and mindset coach in the clinic since the year we opened (nearly 20 years!). His work has also taken him to some unusual places as he's helped a number of celebrities in that time. He's familiar with the TV sets of the BBC, Sky, ITV and Channel 5. So our TV studio in Higham will be quite small compared to what he's used to!

Hosting today will be Injury Rehabilitation Specialist Jay Sheridan. It's his first day as a host, despite being a regular on the show, so it should be fun.

How to Beat Self-Doubt When Your Head's Screaming - "You’re Not Ready!"

Here’s what most people miss..

You’re not broken - your brain’s just doing its job...

Self-doubt isn’t a lack of confidence - it’s your mind trying to keep you safe.

Your mind prefers the familiar, even if it’s limiting.

So when you reach for your next level, it triggers “not ready yet” thoughts:

“Who am I to do this?”
“What if I fail?”
“Maybe I should wait until I’m more confident…”

That’s not weakness. It’s just your mind programming.

The good news? You can retrain and re-programme it.

Here’s how to start retraining your mind the moment self doubt shows up;

The Catch → Question → Switch Method

1️⃣ Catch it – Notice the moment self-doubt speaks.
2️⃣ Question it – Is this truth, or just old programming?
3️⃣ Switch it – Choose the thought that moves you forward.

Example:
“I’m not ready” → “I’ll learn as I go.”
“I always mess this up” → “I figure things out step by step.”
