5 days into January already!
As we ease into a new year, so many of us sit down to decide what it is we really want to achieve in the next 12 months…. becoming healthier, taking your career to the next level, getting rid of certain addictions, loving yourself more …the list goes on!

While we always have good intentions, after a few months the novelty of the new year wears off and many of us revert back to old habits. If this is the year you really want to make LASTING change, it may be time to consider getting a little extra help.

Our brains are wired to keep returning to what is familiar & reject the unfamiliar.

Love, wealth, success for example are some of the things that believe it or not some people reject because these things have never been familiar to them.

E.G if you have never had money, never been financially secure, saving & investing etc could be unfamiliar to you & what would be familiar is spending unnecessarily, blowing your salary the minute you get it, living paycheck to paycheck.

Is there something in your life that you would like to make unfamiliar, something you simply don’t want in your life anymore?

You can make anything FAMILIAR, but you have to work at it, it’s a process.

Say if you want to smash out a 5km run everyday instead of your normal 3km, after a few months that will be so familiar to you & doing the opposite will be unfamiliar. Something small - stop putting sugar in your tea … the taste over time would become so familiar that having that sugar in your tea would now seem very unappealing.

Ask yourself: What would you like to make familiar?

Could it be liking yourself? Believing in yourself more? Being financially secure? Having love in your life? Looking after your health?
Now flip it around and ask yourself: what do you want to make UNFAMILIAR?

As I said above - you HAVE to work at it, it’s a process.

RTT provides the tools to find the root cause as to why you may feel ‘stuck’, to make changes you want & fully embed them. 🙌🏻

No, you are not a looser, you are not a stupid idiot with nothing to offer, you do not have legs the size of tree stumps, no you are not a hopeless mess, you don’t eat 24/7 you are not the size of a house etc etc!

It’s important to remember that the harsh, unrealistic, critical words we say to ourselves only withers us.

Praise builds you up.

Praise yourself more & you will find it easier to change :)

Absolutely love receiving emails like this from clients! This particular client had a session with me a few days ago - PP - binge eating.
The binge eating was destroying his self esteem, his productivity & his health. He couldn’t understand why he was binge eating and using food as a buffer in certain situations.

We hit the nail on the head in his session and we were able to find the root cause of this, leaving him to feel free, to conquer his binge eating & all of the other symptoms associated with it.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
RTT for addictions - in this case my client had been averaging a bottle of red wine every night and could not give up alcohol, through the help of hypnotherapy, he’s done it & continues in his journey of sobriety 👊

Such as:
“I’m so fat, I just can’t stop myself from eating, I can’t loose weight no matter how much I try”
Feeling: helpless, powerless, ashamed
Action: well I might as well eat loads of cake because I feel so upset & annoyed
Now - you see the thought has been justified and you’re left feeling pretty stuck.

Through hypnotherapy, using regression back to the true root cause of these looping thoughts, we can effectively pin point how & when these thoughts started (often the presenting problem isn’t actually that) embedding new POSITIVE, EXCITING, LIBERATING thoughts, changing our actions & our events.
