- Steady on the wall walks

- Maintain movement standards as fatigue kicks in to avoid no reps

- Easy pace on the first row

- Break up the deadlifts in sets of 5

- Smooth singles on the cleans

- Break the snatches into sets of 3-5

- Big sets on one side for the clean and jerks, only change where necessary

- Recover during the walking lunges

After a career as a Ballet Dancer, Carolyn moved into the world of fitness, found CrossFit in 2011 and became a CrossFit coach in 2013. Alongside coaching she also has a degree in Sports Therapy and runs her clinics in East London and now at Red Sun! Specialising in return to sport, CrossFit and general body mechanics, Carolyn also works with an American Football team during game season alongside coaching and her clinic.

Since graduating as a sports therapist, Alex has spent the last 7-years gaining experience in clinical practice as well as professional sport. Currently lecturing in Sports Therapy, Alex enjoys filling any spare time working in grass-routes rugby, GB American Football, and professional women’s basketball. To follow her passion in injury prevention and health promotion, she studied for a Masters in Sport & Exercise Medicine. Alex specalises in working with runners (including those just getting started) rugby players, HYROX athletes & individuals who are pre and post op.

Member of the Month : Kate Swanson!

Kate has been with us for around 9 months, and it’s been awesome to see her fully dive into training. The coaches have really noticed the huge improvements she’s been making and the extra effort she has been making; throwing herself into the Oly Lifting seminar and as a regular attendee of the gymnastic class. It’s been paying off dividends!

Kate’s approach to classes was also something that the coaches have really loved; keen to learn, approaching challenges with and open mind, keen to learn, addressing weak points, focusing on technique, and pushing her limits….as well as always smiling!

Thank you Kate and well deserved!
